All on one level, this light and spacious family friendly holiday home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests in three bedrooms. Lake View Cottage is situated in a quiet rural location close to West Down, a pretty village not far from the popular seaside resorts of Woolacombe, Combe Martin and Ilfracombe in North Devon. One of six countryside cottages at Lower Aylescott, Lake View Cottage comfortably sleeps 6 in three bedroom and overlooks the two private fishing lakes. Guests at Lake View Cottage are also welcome to explore and roam the 4.5 acres of grounds, children can play safely on the lawned area and the new children’s play area (installed June 2019) and fish the two private lakes. These are well-stocked and only available for guests to use (please remember to bring your license, rods and baits). The three bedrooms include a master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room. There are also two twin bedrooms with two full size single beds that are serviced by the family bathroom. The bathroom features a bath, a separate shower, wash basin and WC. The cottage is located in a lovely countryside setting, and just a short walk to the village with its excellent village shop and pub. There are also some fantastic countryside walks right from the doorstep of the cottage. The popular North Devon resorts of Braunton, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Combe Martin are all within a 10 minute drive away. A day at the beach can be found at Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Croyde and the family beach at Combe Martin, all within easy reach. There are also numerous family attractions nearby include Watermouth Castle, Ilfracombe Aquarium, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo to name a few. Ilfracombe is home to some excellent cafes, pubs, tearooms and restaurants, including a Michelin star restaurant Thomas Carr @ The Olive Room. Ilfracombe harbour is also fantastic for pier fishing or catching a chartered fishing trip like the SeaSwift run by Ilfracombe Sea Safari. Guest access Guests have access to the entire Lake View Cottage, a terrace outside the cottage and the communal grounds with two fishing lakes, and the children's play area.
