The apartment name is inspired by the clear waters of Dover Beach. The name Turtles Nest Beach Apartments comes from the popularity of Dover Beach with nesting hawksbill turtles. These turtles can often be seen during nesting season (in the summer) and 60 days later a mass tiny sandy tracks can be seen when hatchlings emerge and dash down to the sea. It’s a special experience to see either of these natural wonders of nature so we hope you get lucky! Throughout Turtles Nest Beach Apartments, you’ll be able to enjoy art by local artists. The owners are well-known on the island for their art-based family business, Best of Barbados Gift Shops, and the paintings and some accessories in each ‘Nest’ are by all three generations - Jill Walker, Sue Trew and Holly Trew. The family also support local art and craft persons, so be sure to admire the unique pieces you’ll find in each apartment. The Master bedroom in Clear Waters, decorated in refreshing blues with artwork depicting local fishing boats, has a queen bed, an ensuite and a private patio. The second bedroom features a queen bed, and a large wardrobe, and artwork of local beaches. While the third bedroom has twin beds that can be joined to make a king on request, and a spacious wardrobe. All bathrooms have showers and fun artistic details, making them unique. Guests can enjoy the use of thoughtful details like a welcome package of refreshments on arrival, a boogie board for surfing the waves, a cooler for island expeditions or just for cool drinks on the beach, loungers for each guest and a community hall cupboard with games and books for all ages.
