Historic, elm barn with stylish en-suite rooms

Two large double bedrooms with en-suites, set within an elm-clad former wheelwright’s barn behind our family home in the Warwickshire countryside. Built in 1890, the Barn was once part of a working wheelwright’s yard and is now a calm, characterful place to stay, filled with storied objects and handmade details. A village footpath runs past the gate, and the Malt Shovel pub is just a 3-minute walk away. An adjoining florist’s studio has separate access and does not affect guest privacy. The space The Barn is a spacious, two-storey conversion at the end of a long private drive, with parking for two cars per booking (potential for more on request). Inside, the space is calm and characterful and includes: Two generous double bedrooms, each with a large en-suite and excellent showers A small, cosy snug opening onto the garden via glass doors A fully equipped kitchen for relaxed, short stays A private patio-terrace garden and access to terraced eating area The design is very eclectic and includes: One-off wallpapers created from enlarged vintage postcards and 18th-century woodblock prints Hand-marbled papers and cyanotype prints made on site Original artwork from flea markets, charity shops, and further afield Small, curious details, books, objects, toy cars, typewriters, miniature room sets, all chosen to quietly belong where they are! Guest access Guests have exclusive use of: A fully equipped kitchen A small living room with Smart TV A downstairs loo Two large double bedrooms, each with their own en-suite A roll-out chair-bed in the living room (sleeps a fifth guest) The Barn is fully self-contained. The adjoining florist studio has separate access and a locked connecting door to ensure your complete privacy. Optional Extras: With advance notice, the florist studio may be available to hire: As a relaxed dinner-party space For workshops or creative use As overspill seating for celebrations Details are always bespoke - just ask. Fresh flowers for your stay, or as a gift, can also be arranged with notice. Other things to note Pet Friends We have two friendly cats – Sharon and Steve – who don’t usually visit The Barn but may wander in if doors/windows are open. While we keep the space clean, we can’t promise a 100% allergen-free environment. If you're highly allergic or not a cat person, we may not be the best fit. Food & Drink A small range of Deliveroo/Uber Eats here and a couple of takeaway options 3 miles away. Our local pub serves excellent lunches and evening meals. Florist Studio & Flowers Florist Lois of Little Garden occasionally works in the studio adjoined to the kitchen, but we endeavour to highlight when this happens. . She also runs seasonal workshops – from Easter bouquet-making to DIY bridal and flower-picking afternoons. Furnishings for Sale Much of the décor – vintage or handmade – has a story attached and we're happy to part with some pieces for the cost of replacement.
