Cozy, but modern cottage with entrance to forest
Description
Welcome to Hyggely! Centrally in Charlottenlund, you will find this small yellow brick house with a beautiful garden, teahouse, cottage and private entrance to the forest. Hyggely has recently been renovated with beautiful colors and details, and with 6 beds there is room for the large family. In addition to the forest, you have access to Ordrupgård's beautiful sculpture garden, The Dear Park close by, cafes and shopping, and the beach, sea and harbor only 5 minutes by car. NOTE: We have 2 cats. The space Hyggely combines authentic Danish coziness with high-quality design. The main house has been fully renovated with a handcrafted carpenter’s kitchen and carefully selected natural materials that bring both style and warmth into every room. The spacious master bedroom features a soft, calming palette and a hotel-style bed. A home office doubles as a guest room, and the children’s bedroom is full of charm and comfort. Two bathrooms offer modern luxury – one with a view of the nature reserve, and the other styled with classic herringbone tiles. Outside, the lush garden offers multiple sunny corners for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or evening wine – each with its own mood and seating. You’ll find a brand-new guest annex (2024), and a fully renovated garden pavilion (2025) that serves as both a dining area and an extra bedroom – its bespoke table easily transforms into a comfortable bed. With a hammock between the trees, a piano for your creative moments, and a private path leading directly into Ellemosen nature reserve, Hyggely is more than a house – it’s a peaceful, inspiring retreat in the heart of Charlottenlund. NOTE: Our two cats, Chia and Chili, have moved in. They’re very sweet and affectionate and take care of themselves using the cat flap to go in and out. They just need to be fed at least once a day. Guest access Guests have access to the entire main house, including: • Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a double bed • An additional sleeping space in the open office area If you are more than 5 guests, the bed in the newly built annex can also be used. Please note: The garden pavilion (teahouse) is perfect for relaxing, dining, or a cozy nap – but it is not set up as an official sleeping space for Airbnb guests. Other things to note Hyggely is nestled right beside the serene Ellemosen nature reserve, which brings a special kind of magic to the garden – birds in the morning, squirrels in the trees, frogs hopping by, and the occasional garden snail exploring after rain. With nature this close, a spiderweb might appear overnight, or a curious insect might wander in. To keep things peaceful indoors, we kindly suggest keeping the kitchen door closed, especially in the evenings. Please note: • We have 2 very friendly cats, Chia and Chili, who love for. you to feed and cuddle them while you're there. They're easy and have a catflap for going in and out. • We kindly ask that you use the utility room entrance, and remove shoes during the colder or rainy months – it helps us keep the home cozy and clean for everyone.
