There are also plentiful grass areas to roam around in and a pleasant pond nearby. Available to book with two other properties on-site, this lodge is extremely well appointed and spacious and the quality inside is not the norm expected from a holiday lodge. This is the perfect location for families or friends looking for a peaceful retreat for a holiday or celebrating a special occasion and the perfect spot for those looking to explore the wider surrounding area. Inside you’ll find three bedrooms, a king size and a bunk room on the ground floor, and a lovely gallery-style kingsize (but with a door and glazing) with en-suite shower room on the first floor that overlooks the open plan living areas downstairs. The lounge area has a smart TV, cosy wood burner, bluetooth speakers in the ceiling and bi-fold patio doors leading out onto the decking with countryside views, and the kitchen area has all you’ll need for your stay including a washing machine, dishwasher and large retro style fridge/freezer, plus additional patio doors leading out to the side decking area where you’ll find a table and chairs perfect for a peaceful summer’s breakfast with those amazing views. Ample private parking is available just by the lodge which is accessed by a meandering tree-lined driveway. Close by are the Grand Western Canal and Country Park, offering boat trips and great walking and cycling. And there’s Knighthayes National Trust, just 3 miles away. Being conveniently located for the M5 motorway, the property is within easy reach by car of Exmoor’s seaside resorts, amazing Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter with its stunning cathedral and south coast towns.
