River's Edge Beach House

Enjoy waterfront living along the Kennebecasis River with spetacular views and brilliant sunsets ! Our beach house makes a perfect getaway for couples. Lounging on the private deck is the perfect way to unwind and just enjoy river life. During the summertime, you can launch one of our 3 kayaks and go for a peaceful paddle or enjoy a swim. The space The River's Edge Beach House is for you to enjoy: Our accomodations is perfect for a couple . Our house is small but has everything to make a holiday enjoyable. The beautiful Kennebecasis River is only feet away. On the main level is a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances, fridge/freezer,oven range,microwave dishwasher, coffee maker ,kettle and toaster . The cozy dining area and comfortable living space offer fantistic river views that lead to a private deck to lounge on and enjoy the Kennebecasis River . If you need to do a bit of work , there is a vintage fold down desk with stationary and usb outlets perfect for a laptop computer. There is also a powder room off the main area. Just off the entrance way is a lovely sprial staircase leading to the lower level. This 2nd level has a beautifully designed bedroom with a king-size bed with a firm memory foam mattress, bureau, luggage stand, and closet .On the bedside nightstands are touch control lamps with usb plugs to charge your phones. The ensuite bathroom has infloor heating with a shower stall and a freestanding soaker tub for complete relaxation.There is also a washer and dryer on this level for your convenience. The upper and lower levels have heat pumps to provide cool or warm temperatures ,which ever may be needed for your comfort. We also have a twin size inflatable mattress that can be set up ahead of time if needed.This small mattress is stored in bedroom closet along with the twin sheets and comforter for it. The 2nd floor also has a walk out entrance/exit that leads to the backyard and beach area. The outside area has comfortable rocking chairs to enjoy the magnificent river views. During the summer months, there is a firepit on the beach to enjoy a toasty warm campfire. Burning is only permitted by the department of natural resources when conditions are not to dry. Our guest also have private stairs to their beach. the doorway to the stairs is beside the wooden fence. Guest access Guests have access to a fenced-in backyard and stairway to the beach. During the summer months, 2 kayaks and PFD are available. We also share the use of our dock with our guests , it's a great spot to cast a fishing line or to just sit and relax ! Other things to note There are beautiful places to see on the river. If you launch the kayaks from the beach ,my favorite destination is to paddle around Mathers Island, which is the small private island you see from your river view. On a calm day, it takes about an hour. A bit further on across the river is the Moss Glenn falls. There is a narrow channel to paddle along, and you 1 st approach a deep swimming hole and 1st waterfall .The second waterfall is about 25 more meters upstream. If a paddle and a hike are what you want, there is Long Island. Parts of the island belong to New Brunswick Nature Trust. There are marked trails that lead to breathtaking views. We have PFD (life jackets) for the kayaks in the little garden shed,along with the paddles. The kayaks are on the beach for your use !
