Harakeke Boutique Accommodation

Harakeke was built to provide a luxury self-contained private retreat for guests to enjoy the surrounding country tranquillity with some spectacular mountain views. The living room with kitchen, a bar fridge, inbuilt sound system and gas fire is designed for relaxing. The bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with a walk-in shower designed for comfort Both rooms open out to a large deck with a Spa and outdoor dining setting with a Weber BBQ with separate outdoor fire The space Harakeke apartment is a seperate wing attached to our house with its own entrance, it is private and self contained and we designed it for guests to enjoy a retreat in the countryside with the Kahurangi mountains as a backdrop. We included all the facilities to create a space for our guests to relax, dine and enjoy what our property has to offer. We stock the bar fridge with some welcome drinks and leave a small cheese platter for guests to enjoy Harakeke has a private outdoor area with its own spa pool and outdoor fire. There is a pool on the property you are welcome to use and also a pétanque court if you fancy a game over a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon. You may like to take a short walk around the property down to the lily pond or simply relax on your own deck and watch the tūī feed on the Harakeke Upper Moutere boasting the oldest pub in New Zealand is just over 3km away. There are also some lovely wineries and restaurants, Moutere Hills restaurant and cellar door one of our favourites. Gravity winery is a hop, skip and a jump from us, a lovely way to spend an afternoon with some awesome views. It is about a 10 minute drive down to Mapua wharf and village where you will find some interesting shops, great restaurants and a really cool wine bar We are also fairly close to the Tasman taste bike trail, and there are some lovely beaches a short drive away.
