The space Your longed for beach holiday starts here at Unit 1 ‘INN ALEX'. You will love staying at this beautiful Home Unit that has been completed by the owners Neil and Sherie in 2023. It replaces their old beach house, which was one of the early Airbnbs here in Alexandra Headland. We have named our building ‘INN ALEX’. The location is what all our guests love as it’s only a short walk to the our spectacular patrolled beaches of Alexandra Headland, Alex Surf Club and several Cafes, Restaurants, Kid's Playgrounds, Skate Park and is only 3 minute walk to the sand! It's also perfect for the many sporting events held on the Sunshine Coast. Very close to events like Mooloolaba Tri, Sunshine Coast Marathon and the Ironman 70.3. Now that Virgin Airlines are accepting small pets on flights from Melbourne, we can complement this with the perfect pet-friendly holiday home! The Holiday Unit is on the first floor of our beautiful building. It has a large well-equipped kitchen with stone bench tops, dishwasher, oven, microwave and cooktop. We have a Nespresso Coffee machine and an array of coffee pods for your use, plus a selection of Tea if you prefer. We can also include a Thermomix if you’d like. (With a quick demo first) The open plan living room features a comfortable Freedom modular sofa and a good size smart TV. We also have Netflix for watching those fav. movies or series whilst you are holidays. You have access to children’s toys, family games in the unit and boogie boards, bicycles and surf boards on request. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen size ensemble beds with built-in robes and bed-side tables. Bedroom 3 has a king single bed plus a 'trundle bunk bed' with double below and single above, allowing four to sleep here. it has a built-in robe plus a port shelf. All 3 bedrooms are air-conditioned and also have ceiling fans. Fresh crisp linen is provided. There are 2 fully tiled bathrooms. The Main Bathroom has a fully equipped Laundry attached. Next to this is a separate Powder Room with toilet and vanity basin. *Please note. your second Bathroom is in the basement garage. Access to this is via the Lift or internal foyer stairs. It has shower, toilet and basin. It’s EXCLUSIVELY yours to use during your stay. The unit also boasts a Terrace with a Servery and a Webber BBQ outside the kitchen window, allowing user-friendly indoor and outdoor cooking. The outdoor dining table is on the Terrace and can sit up to eight. This overlooks the secure Private Courtyard which is perfect for young children and pets. It is a great area to relax and unwind after a day exploring the Sunshine Coast. It is very safe and secure for your small to medium family dog to come on holiday with you, as long as you adhere to our house rules for your pets. There is 1 car parking space for your vehicle in the secure lock up basement car park with 'Easy Living' Lift and Stairway access to your First-floor Unit, providing easy transfer of your luggage. There is 2.5 to 2.8M headroom clearance in the Basement. We are very excited to have recently purchased an outdoor Full Spectrum Infrared Barrel SAUNA!! Guests will have access to this if they wish. It is a great asset, as saunas have so many health benefits. It is so beneficial for anyone, whether it be after competitive sport, exercise, helping with arthritis or just relaxing in. (We prefer no children to use it). For the young children there is an awesome new Playground next to the beach in Mooloolaba only 15 minutes' walk away via the beach-side paths or a few minutes by car, bike or scooter. It has fantastic playground equipment, including swings, slides, climbing nets and BBQs to cook on. There is a smaller playground next to the Alex Surf Club only 7-10 minute walk to the north. For the older children there is a large Skate Park next to the Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club and overlooking the surf. Just through the verandah/pool gate is the "Best Kid's Pool in Australia" or so it is voted by the kids. Our unique Swimming Pool is 9.5M long but only 0.75M wide and from 0.6 to 1.5M deep. it has Magnesium Mineral Salts so is good for the skin, muscles and arthritis. It is HEATED, for year-round use. With adult supervision, the young kids love it, and for the older kids it is a great lap pool for free-style swim training. Mooloolaba with its popular Esplanade of award-winning Restaurants, vibrant cafe culture, hotels, Coles supermarket, BWS and shops is only 15-20 coastal walk from us or 5 min drive. We have free WiFi (password alexunit1), Netflix and a 55" Smart TV. We SELF-MANAGE our unit, so we take great pride in presentation and attention to detail. We do not accept schoolies bookings. The unit is a very close to 2 bus stops with frequent buses to all the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Guest access We have a LIFT for luggage, prams and wheelchairs. Also handy if the stairs are a challenge from the basement car park to level one. Very close to Surfing hot spots and Surf Clubs, Swimming Beaches, Skate Park, Children's Playground, Bowls Clubs, Restaurants, Bars, Sporting Events like Marathon, Ironman and Mooloolaba Triathlon and Surf Carnivals. BBQ in private front courtyard, Portacot, Highchair, Kids Toys, Surfboards [on request] Other things to note Please refer to house rules regarding our requirements for your pets to stay. We supply all Linen, Bath Towels, Beach Towels, Shampoo, Conditioner and Hand and Body wash. We also have 2 beach chairs and a beach umbrella and a beach bag for your use. Boogie boards and surf boards are available on request. We can also supply a port-a-cot and highchair if needed for the babies. There is an iron and an ironing board in the unit. ALL FREE OF CHARGE If you are curious to see and use a Thermomix, Sherie can give you a short demo and then you are welcome to have the use of one during your stay. You will love it. After spending a few years travelling the world, we have come to realise that the Sunshine Coast has one of the best climates in the world and Alexandra Headland has its own micro-climate. Our hot days usually have northerly winds. Here on Alex's North facing Headland, these northerly winds blow straight off the ocean and keep our temperatures down. When the strong south-easterlies are blowing, we are protected from these by Mooloolaba and our Headland and we just get the lower temperatures. With our subtropical climate, this 'Golden Triangle' is hard to beat for good weather.
