Eifel farmhouse with natural garden

Experience special Eifel moments in this unique and family-friendly farmhouse. It is located in the beautiful Volcanic Eifel nature region. The house, which is over 200 years old, has been renovated but remained authentic. There are many old pieces of furniture, which makes it even more beautiful. A functional kitchen invites you to cook. You immediately feel at home in the new bathroom. Behind the house is a terrace that leads into our natural garden with a gazebo and many beautiful places. With lots of peace and nature. The space If you drive through Kalenborn, you will immediately notice our house. You can park in front of the house or in the garage. Via the stairs in front of the half-timbered house you come to the front door. Like all windows and doors, it is of course made of wood. Welcome to the Kalenborn farmhouse! The living room is mainly furnished with furniture from the 60s. There is also a nice stove, which is not yet connected. A rustic beam ceiling, the new and natural linoleum floor, beautiful pictures and a view of the mountains opposite make the room perfect for relaxing or for (if necessary) a home office at the small corner desk. Here you will also find a mini library. In the dining room there is an extendable table with six old Worpsweder chairs. Here you can sit in a large or small group. In the old oven you can make a fire and let it crackle. Some wood is already ready for you! The sink, the old tiles and the old linoleum have remained authentic. A small wooden bench with colorful pillows (in which you will only find unironed tablecloths and napkins) and a Sonos box invite you to listen to music. The bathroom with shower was newly renovated in 2024 and has many natural materials and old furniture. The river pebble as a sink looks particularly beautiful. The washing machine is also available here. The kitchen is also modern and not large, but has everything you need. Two espresso pots and a milk frother make you good milk coffee on request. In the staircase you will find a small picture gallery with old photos. Here you can also see the old natural stone masonry in one place. The three quiet bedrooms lead off from the staircase. All bedrooms have half-timbered and/or beamed ceilings. They are all equipped with old furniture and double beds and have interesting details. Two bedrooms have very nice wooden plank floors. The smallest bedroom has an old linoleum floor and here is also the door to the terrace. The terrace leads directly into the garden! The garden goes up the slope and is about 500 m². It consists of a natural meadow - which is rarely mowed - with many fruit trees and shrubs. Here you will find many individual places with seating, dining, playing, grilling or relaxing possibilities. In the trees you can hang the hammock or even find apples. Or you can sometimes pet the horses at the fence to the neighbor. You can enjoy everything! Our house and the rooms are very nice and authentic. We also use it and love it as it is. Since our farmhouse is old, the walls are sometimes a little crooked and individual doors are low (some below 5'9"). We have deliberately preserved old materials and some paints. We don't have antiseptic laminate and no interchangeable Ikea furniture (except in the kitchen). If you want to get to know that, then you will feel comfortable. We look forward to seeing you!
