Fishers Cottage Loft

Fishers Cottage Loft is in a gorgeous old schoolmaster's cottage in the heart of Newtownmountkennedy a quaint village in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. The loft takes up the whole first floor and is spacious yet cosy under the eves with the king sized bed separated from the sitting area with a bookcase and generous ensuite with massive shower. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen with a high table and stools. The space The cottage was originally the school master's house for the adjacent Schoolhouse but since the school moved to bigger premises it has had several reincarnations! Coming in the front door you're directed to the right into the bright, airy, well-equipped kitchen, with a high table and stools with a full oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. The wow is upstairs though! As you get to the top of the stairs you're met with a bright open-plan room the whole length of the cottage! At one end is the sitting area with a comfy sofa and chair (that can convert into a bed) along with a smart TV and Wi-Fi so you can stream your favourite box set. Or just dive into a novel from the bookcase. It's divided from the rest of the room with a bookcase. The king (5ft wide) bed with clever headboard is beyond and there are 2 chests of drawers for storage. Beyond that again is a huge en suite with a massive shower and cushioned window seat. Guest access You have exclusive use of the whole loft apartment. The entrance to the building is shared with a business located on the ground floor. There is private parking in the gravelled car park if you require it. During the day the carpark is also used by the customers of Fishers of Newtownmountkennedy a gorgeous destination department store. The cottage is completely separate and detached from Fishers but really convenient for a spot of shopping there or having brunch, lunch or just a treat in their Food at Fishers award-winning Cafe.
