Sandy Beach B&B is a quaint family-run bed and breakfast located at the heart of Douglas Island next to the historic Treadwell Mine trail and Juneau's only Sandy Beach (Savikko Park). With private balcony views of Gastineau Channel and Mt. Roberts, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is a rare gem in Alaska's capital. Walk to Douglas Island's restaurants, bars, noteworthy Perseverance Theater, the beach or Mt. Jumbo trail in just minutes. Our local bald eagle will surely fly by to say hello! The space The apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for an amazing Alaskan stay - cooking supplies, coffee maker, and large chest freezer (for storing all the salmon you’ll take home!), washer/dryer, WiFi, binoculars for watching the eagles and cruise ships pass by, and garden games for use on the lawn. We also have hiking poles, a grill, baby bathtub, pack and play, and toys for use upon request. Continental breakfast provided daily. Guest access Guests have their own private entrance, balcony and lawn area with a view of the channel, Mt. Roberts tramway and downtown Juneau. During your stay As hosts, we live in the two floors above the apartment with a separate entrance. We like to give guests their privacy but are on-site and available by text and email 24/7 if guests need anything or have any problems.
