The Lazy Inn Palmer is located two blocks from historic downtown Palmer. The room is spacious with a private bath. Hosts have lived in Alaska for 40 plus years and would love to share their experiences with guests. My husband was a bush pilot for 40 years and loves to tell stories, if you’re willing to listen! BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED. Room has coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator. Please check in by 10:00 pm. We are approximately 2 miles from the Palmer airport. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Washer and dryer if available. Guess can access their rooms at anytime through the front door then down the stairs to their locked rooms . Quiet times are from 10 pm to 7 am. We love to have an occasional dinner or breakfast with our guests to hear their stories and share some of ours. Downtown Palmer has an eclectic mix of shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Friday Fling is a must for home grown vegetables, food trucks and local artists. The historical Palmer Visitors Center has a beautiful walk through garden with lots of interesting pictures and information on Colonial Palmer through the ages. Live music at the Palmer Alehouse on Friday and Saturday nights features local bands in an outside setting with fire pits. And the local Matanuska brewery has fine food and a great vibe. We are within walking distance of many of the restaurants, shops and events in and around Palmer, of course to see Alaska a vehicle is a must. Many restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Palmer is a unique town with several boutiques and a very in-depth visitor center. The ‘colonists’ settled in Palmer as farmers, many from Minnesota. Large parcels of land was granted after families proved up on the property.
