The Great Barley Room

This Grade II Listed barnsituated in the heart of the beautiful Georgian Town of Alresford. THE SPACE Our very unique and characterful property was originally a barn used for brewing beer. The large bedroom is on the first floor. It has a valted ceiling. There is a double bed with memory foam mattress, en-sute shower, wc and wash hand basin. The space Step back in time when you stay in The Great Barley Room. Originally, barley would have been layed out on the floor and the heat from the kiln below would have dryed it out. However, today, it is a light, airy, modern relaxing and tranquil space. This unique room has a vaulted ceiling and at its highest point, you will see a funnel leading to the cupola. There is a double bed with memory foam mattress, desk and sofa and large TV.. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. There is an en- suite shower, wc and wash hand basin. Guest access Guests do not have use of the kitchen or lounge areas. Other things to note There is no parking available at the property. Guests are not permitted to drive into Malthouse Cottages. There is free one hour on street parking on West Street, which you can use whilst you unload your bags. This is a very quirky property. the floors are uneven. It would be greatly appreciated if shoes could be taken off before going upstairs as we have cream carpets.
