Ben Vorlich Cottage

Ben Vorlich Cottage is the perfect place for families, walkers, cyclists and even skiers! A clean and cosy home from home, where you'll be just a few short minutes away from Loch Lomond with access to Loch Cruises and the Water Buses. For walking, you're in the heart of the 'Arrochar Alps' including The Cobbler, and Ben Lomond can be accessed easily across the Loch. There is a vast network of cycle trails on your doorstep and even the ski slopes at Glencoe are only 45 mins away! The space Ben Vorlich Cottage sleeps 6 people and has 3 bedrooms, an open plan lounge/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The downstairs master bedroom has a king-sized double bed plus an ensuite shower room. Upstairs, there are 2 further bedrooms, one with a king-sized double bed and the other with twin beds. The cosy lounge has seating for 6 and is the perfect place to relax after exploring the local area and beyond. To the front of the property is a large free parking area, and to the rear is a private decking area for alfresco dining. There is, of course, free wifi in the cottage along with a 50-inch TV with Freeview channels, plus Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, Youtube, Spotify, etc. (using your own login). Pets are welcome at the cottage but, whilst you love your furry friend, not every guest does. So we ask that you keep the stair gate closed and do not allow pets in the upstairs bedrooms, and if possible keep them out of the downstairs bedroom. Thanks. Guest access You'll have the entire cottage to yourselves! Other things to note Ben Vorlich Cottage is within walking distance of Arrochar and Tarbet Station, so not only can you arrive by train, you can also take the incredibly beautiful Highland Line all the way up to Fort William, via Glencoe, for scenic day trips. The Kirk O' The Lochs Restaurant and Bar is right next door and further pubs, restaurants, chip shop and village shop are just over a mile away in Arrochar. You can walk in either direction from the cottage on pavements. There are walks for both novice (1.5 mile Tarbet loop) and more experienced hill walkers (7 mile Cobbler/Ben Arthur loop), plus many other options. For gravel cyclists there is the Glen Loin Loop and the extensive network of trails at Aberfoyle and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park can easily be reached by boat via Inversnaid. For road cyclists, the climb up The Rest and Be Thankful is not easy, and the loop back up Hell's Glen is as challenging as it sounds! Scotland's best and most challenging skiing ('Flypaper' is the steepest marked black run in Europe) can be found at Glencoe, just 45 mins away by car. Registration details AR00744F
