It is also equal distance from the Palisade Wineries and top rated mountain bike trails in Fruita. The Grand Valley is known as a large outdoor playground with rafting, hiking, skiing, and mountain biking at your fingertips. Newly updated 1917 ranch craftsman house will accommodate your needs while you visit Grand Junction. After enjoying a day’s-worth of activities, rest assured relaxation awaits upon your return to the house. With a large comfortable couch to lounge on, comfortable queen memory foam mattresses while you sleep, and central air conditioning and forced heat to keep the house at the perfect temperature, the Ranch House on Rood will not disappoint. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, stainless steel refrigerator with filtered water and ice, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, French press, electric hot water kettle, coffee/tea bar, spices, and cooking oil. This kitchen also has all the dishware, glassware, pots/pans, and utensils you may need during your stay. It even has sharp cutlery! Each bedroom has brand new queen memory foam mattresses, with comfortable linens, large closet space with built-in shelving, black out curtains, with extra linens and blankets to make your stay more comfortable. The back bedroom has a designated workstation and high-speed internet throughout if you need to send off some emails before you hit the trails. You do not need to worry about over packing, because there is a large washer and dryer along with laundry detergent if needed. The large living space has a comfortable couch with chaise and a smart LED television. Enjoy the game on the provided YouTube TV premium programming, or log-in to any of your favorite streaming services. The dining table is equipped to fit 6 people comfortably around the table to enjoy a nice meal together or have game night with games provided, located in the front bedroom closet. Adjacent to the dining table are cocktail chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine while playing a game of chess, backgammon, or cards. Enjoy the Colorado sun in the large and private backyard. Equipped with a 4-person table and chairs, propane grill with a full tank for your use, hammock, and firepit to warm up with on the cool evenings. Please bring your own firewood. You will also have access to a large storage unit within the detached garage for your bikes and other outdoor gear. Please do not bring bikes into the house. Guest access will be through the front door in the screen porch with self check-in via a code padlock. The 4-digit code will be provided in the pre-arrival communication. There is plenty of parking in the large driveway or on street-parking if needed. This is a 100+ year old house and you may hear some creaks and noises, some uneven flooring, and an occasional cool draft due to the original windows in the house. The windows are difficult to move up and down so please use extreme caution if you need to open and close the windows. We highly encourage not attempting to open the windows and use the provided fans located in each bedroom or adjust the air conditioning temperature. Also some windows have been painted shut, however these are clearly labeled with “Do Not Open”. All these quirks add charm and character to this house that we love, and hope that you do too!
