Interior designed guest house in Goudhurst, Kent

A very stylish, light, bright, cosy, classic/contemporary fully self-contained guest house with a boutique hotel feel. This fantastic open plan brand new bolthole is located just outside Goudhurst in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is the perfect location for couples or families wanting to explore all that the countryside has to offer, or for those just needing a stylish base. Very happy to welcome longer term bookings of a month +. The guest house has private parking. The space This light, bright, airy beautiful guesthouse is fully self contained and is part brick/part white weather/clapperboard and sits next to the owners main house. A little porch with two bay trees welcomes you in to your open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area and there is a little laundry room with washer/dryer, one double bedroom downstairs en suite (king size bed) and upstairs there is an open planned galleried area with a desk for working and then a second private twin bedroom en-suite. An airbed can be provided for a 5th guest. The bedrooms have white colonial plantation shutters which shut the light out well, no curtains in the main sitting area currently looking across the garden but utmost respect for privacy applied at all times. This is to ensure maximum light in the house. The guest house has a private carport in which you can park your car under cover. We have a beautiful new heated outdoor pool, surrounded by rose trees and lavender with loungers and pool towels available. The use of the pool is available at agreed times with the owner. The pool can be heated - £20 a day. Please Note the pool is NOT FENCED and for safety we sadly can’t accept toddler age children. Any questions please do ask. The French windows of the guest house overlook three acres of the garden belonging to the main house - but guests are able to use a vast area to the right side of a large Oak and there is a little patio area with table and chairs for eating al fresco. BBQ included - please bring your own coals and clean before vacating the property. The garden has a little enclosed private area of lawn for dogs to be off the lead and with the owners discretion most dogs are able to have run of the garden at various times - the owners dog a cockerpoo is not always around but when the family are at home he will be and is super friendly and loves doggy friends! We are a home from home guest-house. NOTE- Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. The guest house is for guests staying only - entertaining friends is not permitted out of respect for our neighbours. WiFi (full fibre) Boutique gym with weights and Peleton (for use at times agreed with the owner) Car port. Sadly we cannot offer the facilty to charge electric cars but places are near by 15 min drive to supermarkets 5/10 min to pubs 5 min to Balfour Winery (Hush Heath). Guest access The guest house is approached through security gates of the main house with a drive that approaches a car port area where guests can park. The guest house has a private entrance and the entire space is yours. The house overlooks the family garden and it rolls down to the tennis court and pool area. The pool is closed during winter months but can be open from May. Guests are welcome to play tennis (we will supply balls and rackets but we ask you bring suitable non marking tennis trainers). We ask that all tennis rackets and balls are put away. Well behaved dogs are accepted with the owners discretion and access to the right side of the garden is for you to enjoy with them - we just ask that they are kept on a lead and they are cleared up after using the poo bags provided in the house. A small private area through a wooden gate access's an area for dogs to be of the lead. Other things to note Easy access to London, Marden station is 5 minute drive away with parking. Perfect location for visiting the local schools in the area. Kent Wine trail - Hush Heath winery - 2 mins around the corner by car but also walking distance, Tillingham winery is about a 40 min drive. Local gastro pubs and restaurants nearby Camber sands and Rye - 40 mins by car Spa Town of Tunbridge Wells - 20 mins by car (good restaurants inc The Ivy) Brighton - 1 hour by car Whitstable/Broadstairs and the Kent coast - 1 hour by car see Reflexology treatments are available at home either in the house or under the willow tree in the garden. All that is needed is advance notice as our practitioner is fabulous and gets very booked up.
