We are in the heart of the Balon Dora neighborhood, a few steps from Porta Palazzo and the famous Balon market, a reference point for lovers of antiques, vintage and urban culture. The area is full of markets, vintage shops, and characteristic places, which make it a lively, multicultural, and fascinating place. Among the stalls and shops of the Balon you can find a large amount of things: antique furniture, old toys, vintage clothes and accessories, used books, vinyl records, ceramics, handicrafts and lots of other stuff. Armed with patience and browsing through the various stalls and exhibitors, you may find the record you were looking for, the low table you wanted for the living room, or the toy that reminds you of your childhood at really bargain prices. And after having scoured the stalls in search of the bargain of the day, spend some time visiting the neighborhood where the Balon takes place, that of Porta Palazzo. An immersion in a historic area of Turin less known by tourists where you will find, in addition to the many antique shops, also many trattorias that offer typical Piedmontese cuisine at affordable prices. Every second Sunday of the month, the Balon is transformed into the Gran Balon, which is much larger and has a greater selection of antiques for enthusiasts.
