Welcome to my cozy West Dover mountain cabin retreat, situated on 2 beautiful acres with a roaring stream only minutes from Mount Snow. This is the perfect space to enjoy your exquisite Vermont vacation. Get warm by the wood-burning stove in the living room, relax in the hot tub, or enjoy the numerous fun activities in the downstairs game room which include video arcade games, a 75 inch flat screen TV, board games, a ping pong table – even a digital piano! The space This 3-story home comfortably houses 10 guests with bedrooms and bathrooms on both the first and second floors, a living room, an eat-in kitchen, a spacious lower-level game room and a 2-story deck. This home has been completely renovated in 2023 with custom wood working and luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout – truly a rustic Vermont retreat! Guest access There's a keypad on the door. I will supply a unique keycode on the day of arrival. Other things to note No smoking or vaping. No parties or events. Other things to note LIVING SPACES Store your ski gear in the convenient Ski Locker before entering into the mudroom outfitted with a convenient bench, boot tray and boot dryer. Perfect for those wet, wintry days! Then walk into the living room, with its vaulted ceiling, custom woodwork, and plush furnishings that will make you feel “right at home”. After a day on the slopes, you’ll enjoy relaxing in the cozy living room. You’ll definitely want to start a fire in the wood burning stove (firewood and kindling is provided). Enjoy a hot drink (coffee, tea and hot chocolate are complimentary!) – use the lift top coffee table to rest your cup on. Light a scented candle to relax your mind, or, Perhaps you’d like to watch TV on the Samsung frame TV (Fidium fast fiber internet included) For more fun, utilize the downstairs game room. Relax on one of the 3 sofas (one converts into a queen size bed) and enjoy watching your favorite program on the 75” Samsung Frame TV. Perhaps you’d like to play a board game (multiple games are provided as well as playing cards). Maybe you’d like to revisit your youth by playing one of the classic arcade games. Ping pong may be what you desire – get a game going! Do you play the piano, or, ever wish you learned to play the piano? Enjoy playing the Roland digital piano which includes access to the Roland Cloud for an ever-expanding library of songs with interactive sheet music, or, for the beginners, access online instructions through Pianote. KITCHEN AND DINING The modern kitchen, which comfortably seats 12 people, includes electric stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Counter appliances include a toaster, electric water kettle, and a drip coffee pot. Complimentary Coffee (plus filters), tea and hot chocolate are included! New dishes, dining utensils, stemware, and pots are provided as well as Olive oil and basic spices. Cleanup time will be a breeze. Hand soap, dishwasher soap, sponges, steel wool and paper towels are provided as well as additional cleaning supplies and garbage bags. Sufficient cabinet and counter space are available plus a device charging station. BEDROOMS AND BATHS The ski cabin has sleeping options on all 3 floors. The upstairs has 2 sleeping areas. One bedroom has a queen-size bed with 2 nightstands and lamps for those late-night readers. Ample closet space and drawer space is available. The second sleeping option has 2 twin size beds and a dresser. The first-floor bedroom has a queen-size bed with ample closet and drawer space. All beds have multiple pillows and luxury hotel quality linens, including goose down duvets. Other sleeping options include a queen size pullout sofa bed in the main level living room as well as an additional queen size pullout sofa bed in the lower-level game room (bedding supplies are conveniently located in baskets next to each couch). Additional blankets are optional for those chilly nights! Two newly renovated full bathrooms are available, one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The first-floor bathroom has a walk-in shower. The second-floor bathroom has a tub and a shower. Both bathrooms are tiled with built-in shelving to store toiletries and include a generous supply of luxury hotel quality towels. Complimentary toiletries and hair dryers are provided. Full length mirrors are included in each bedroom and bathroom. OUTDOOR AMENITIES You will truly enjoy the outdoors on the 2-story deck. The upper deck includes a fire pit plus benches and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the chilly Vermont evenings. Take a closer look at the beautiful Vermont sky with the telescope. Relax in the luxurious 6/7 person hot tub on the first floor deck. Note that an outdoor towel rack is located next to the tub plus a generous supply of towels specifically used for the hot tub. Hot tub chemicals are available for guests to test/treat the water. Enjoy the extensive string lights which create a festive atmosphere on those chilly Vermont evenings. Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash. Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow. Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.
