The space Just a few miles south of the historic market town of Cockermouth, the cottage is a fantastic base for eager walkers, cyclists, climbers and nature lovers discovering the spellbinding scenery of this beautiful part of Cumbria. Entering this sweet and welcoming cottage, the dual-aspect lounge provides a lovely space for everyone to snuggle up at the end of a memorable day. With a toasty wood burner and plenty of seating, including window seats overlooking the fields, the lounge is perfect for watching a movie or chatting about the day. The spacious, country-style kitchen/diner is fully equipped so you can rustle up all your favourite meals and share them around the sociable farmhouse table. Upstairs, there are three cosy bedrooms with exposed beams, all decorated in soothing pastel shades: you can choose between two pretty double rooms and a charming twin. This floor also has a handy family bathroom. Stepping outside, the delightful garden has plenty of space for children to play, and outdoor furniture so you can enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Cockermouth (3.5 miles) has plenty of friendly pubs and restaurants, or you could head over to Maryport (11 miles) to spend a day by the sea. The Lake District offers plenty of attractions including Loweswater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water, Buttermere, Grisedale Pike, Whinlatter Forest Park and the Lake District Wildlife Park (all within 15 miles).
