Tree Shadow Cottage

Colorful, eclectic, nature-forward cottage with a large, private, tree-covered yard, natural stone patio, a hot tub and a fire pit. This welcoming home is blessedly imperfect, charming and as comfortable as your favorite sweater. It is a wonderful place to relax for a person, a couple, family or friends. The space Living room is large for a home of this age (1942), has multiple couches (one is a queen pull out), chairs, tables, a record player, records and wall mount TV with a smart player to play DVD's, Netflix or Prime. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and dishes, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, air fryer and a dining table with 4 chairs (extra chairs may be brought from other rooms if needed). Coffee is provided. Utility room has washer, dryer, iron, clothing rack, vacuum and cleaning supplies. Laundry detergent is provided. Master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, large velvet couch, dresser, clothing rack, vanity with chair and a smart TV. Upstairs second bedroom has a full size bed, large closet, dresser and a TV with a smart player to play DVD's, Netflix or Prime. Our single bathroom is petite but unique. There is one sink, a bathtub/shower combo - bathtub has jets and shower has lumbar massage. A linen closet holds extra towels and toiletries. Basic toiletries are provided. Our basement bonus room has 3 windows that are at ground level to allow sunlight in (its not a cave), a TV with smart player to play DVD's, Netflix or Prime, a couch, big chair, full size bed for napping (not an official bedroom), dresser, game table with 3 chairs (and other stools to utilize), wall mounted scrabble board, other games and a large closet. Our tree covered yard is not overly landscaped or perfect, many of the rocks, trees and shrubs are allowed to sit and/or grow just as they would in the wild. Due to this we have trip hazards in many outside locations (just like you'd find in the mountains). We also do not use herbicides or pesticides anywhere for any reason so we have a healthy amount of weeds and bugs that we remove manually if deemed necessary. We prefer an environment free of chemicals to one that is excessively manicured. Our hot tub sits 4 comfortably, its located on the edge of our large, natural stone patio in the backyard. We also have a metal fire pit with provided wood and some outdoor furniture - a table, chairs and benches. During the summer months we plant flowers, herbs and some garden vegetables that guests are welcome to enjoy. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house (minus one locked owner's closet) and the yard within the first interior fence. Outbuildings and the car garage are not accessible to guests. Other things to note Please note that we have 3 exterior security cameras that are detailed in the security section of the listing. We only utilize cameras on the rare chance that an accident or something of concern happens during a guests stay. I am detailing them here in addition to the security section of this listing. Our 3 cameras are always on. Their location is as follows: 1. Camera faces the driveway & parking area. 2. Camera faces the front porch & front door. 3. Camera faces the backyard rock patio, captures the left corner of the hot tub, only enough to see if the hot tub is open or closed.
