A room in the Hibiscus Homestay, is located on the banks of the river Chalakudi. It takes 20 mins to/from the airport, 30 mins to the city and about 1 hour to tourist attractions. The space Our house is a recently constructed (January 2023) house on river Chalakudi's banks. It is in a green area, with a calm and serene atmosphere. This is one of the 2 rooms let out under Airbnb Guest access In addition to the bedrooms, guests have access to the semi covered pantry cum dining area, terrace, and the compound up to the riverbank. During your stay The hosts stay on the premises and are available as per need at all times; guests have private access with an electronic lock, with their desired level of privacy. Other things to note Access from the airport and the city is through Uber/Ola, autorickshaws and buses. Since it is located away from the city, please give adequate time to reach the place (Ubers may take time to come, especially in the evenings). Autos and taxis are available nearby and can be arranged based on need. Similarly, while food can be made available in-house or from a home kitchen two houses away based on advance order if you want to order via Zomato and Swiggy, it will take about 30-45 mins and they levy about Rs. 75 delivery charges (excluding any tips you may give) Two geared bicycles are available to rent. Coming soon: Kayaks, Electric scooter (without a licence) Nearby places of interest include: Muziris heritage - trading port with Romans, Persians, and Arabs till 1300 AD; temples, mosques, synagogues (search online for the Muziris heritage project) Cherai and Kuzhipally beaches - including Neptune adventure at Munambam (kayaking, catamaran, surfing, speed boat, SUP etc) Athirapally waterfalls - best during the monsoons, but interesting all other times. Can view from the top or from the base of the falls.
