Little Chancery near Long Beach Barbados

Little Chancery occupies a quiet spot at a breezy location near the ocean. You'll escape the tourist crowd here, although it's just a short trip by car or bus to shops, restaurants and nightlife. There's also a small local supermarket 10 minutes walk from the house. It takes only six minutes to walk to Long Beach. It really is long (one mile) and great for walks. The water’s warm, the surf impressive and the trade winds keep you cool. Swim here only if you are confident in the surf. The space When they are not in the UK this is a home from home for the owners, English/Bajan couple Andrew and Stephen. The house has high ceilings, a large living/dining room, a well equipped kitchen and two air conditioned bedrooms, each with a double bed. As well as AC in the bedrooms, the house has ceiling fans throughout. The large main bathroom has a bathtub as well as a powerful shower. The second bathroom is smaller but has an equally strong shower. There's an outdoor shower, too, good for washing away sand from the beach. Guest access All rooms open out to a spacious veranda that wraps around the house and overlooks a garden full of tropical plants and trees. Perfect for outdoor dining or just relaxing in one of the hammocks. We keep two bicycles at the house and you are welcome to use them. Yoga mats and free weights are also available if you have an exercise regime to maintain. Or stick to a more relaxed regime and just chill (known around here as liming). Other things to note We recommend renting a car and the house has off-road parking. Most car hire companies will deliver to the house, then collect at the end of the hire period. It's best arranged in advance as there can be nothing available at short notice, especially between Christmas and Easter. By the way, the owners usually stay here without a vehicle, happily travelling by bike, bus and the occasional taxi.
