Located in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, the paradise mentioned in the movie "Shawshank Redemption." Next to a colorful fishing village & 5 min walk away to La Madera beach. The suite is ground floor with easy access to the dip pool. This is for guests who enjoy non-touristy holidays, with charming local mercados, delicious street tacos and beachfront bars. The unit is one of twelve in a small gated apartment complex. A/C, in-suite laundry, gas cooking and custom parota wood carpentry. The space Some ex-pats from Canada live here & a mix of renters. This property is lively! Remember, this is a small Mexican neighborhood, vibrant music in the streets, local dogs roaming and chasing cars, and lots of chatter. Expect some noise on evenings and weekends. This is not a quiet retreat. We got used to the liveliness & love it. If you need rest, you may want to bring some ear plugs for sleep. When you close the patio doors, most noise is cancelled out. Step out the door & you are moments away from Boxha Cafe, or visit Lety's for the infamous coconut shrimp!
