No matter if you’re a family of city slickers or a seasoned outdoor enthusiast, an Alaskan vacation at The Talkeetna Lake House is an experience that brings the whole family together. This house is the one cabin rental at The Talkeetna Lake Retreat that consists of a large yard overlooking Little Montana Lake, 4 kayaks set aside for your use, fishing poles, private use of sauna, private use of hot tub, access to paved bike trails that can take you to shops and restaurants downtown ( 14 mile bike path), and beautiful overlook area with cross country walking trails along the lake right next door at the local high school. The house is 500 square feet and has 2 sleeping areas, one queen bedroom, and a trundle bed is set up in the living room, which consists of 2 twin mattresses total, but can be converted to a king bed by raising the lower mattress. 1 bathroom includes a walk in shower, and stack laundry center. The house is also equipped with WiFi, and a 65” flat screen TV with a selection of DVDs to choose from. Owners Derek and Jessica are ready to assist in making your stay a wonderful one, as they reside in a log cabin next door. The Talkeetna Lake House is the perfect place to vacation in Alaska, with nearby award winning restaurants, world class fishing, flights to Denali- the highest mountain peak in North America, marine tours along the Talkeetna river, local shops to browse through, beautiful trail systems-including a 14 mile paved path that you can connect to right from the house, and conveniently located on the way to Denali National Park ( 2 hours driving time into the park entrance), the opportunities to enjoy this area are too numerous to mention.
