Home away from home with everything you need! A 10 minute walk to a premier entertainment destination (UBS Arena & Belmont Park) as well as only 10 minutes from JFK and 20 minutes from LaGuardia, the private space is conveniently located on the first floor in our private house in a quiet neighborhood on Long Island, near numerous transportation options and unique NY food and entertainment choices. The full kitchen, full bath, and bedroom are airy yet cozy; decorated tastefully and seasonally. The space Ideal for anyone coming or going from JFK or LGA or for anyone who is looking to stay in a comfortable, diverse neighborhood with access to everything! Street parking just outside the house is easy to find and free! Our house is quite new by NY standards (built in the 2000s) and has since been renovated and restyled again. Your space has its own private side entrance with a deadbolt combo lock which will be provided to you after booking for your ease and convenience. The space is on the first floor of a multilevel house (we occupy the top floor) so your privacy will never be compromised (unless, of course, you'd like to chat :)). Within your interior space, you will have 3 modern yet warm areas to occupy - a fully functioning kitchen, a full bathroom, and a very cozy bedroom. Upon entering through your private side entrance, you will enter into the kitchen. Fully functional with a full size fridge and freezer, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes/glassware, you'll have everything a warm, homey kitchen should. Additionally, we'll have coffee, bottles of water, and breakfast snacks for you. Also in the ample kitchen space is a sitting area and a table to enjoy your meals. Down the hallway on the right will be your full bathroom. The spacious shower is a walk in to help avoid any slips, and you'll of course, have all the bathroom amenities provided for you (soap, shampoo, towels, etc.) including a hair dryer. Across from the bathroom is your bedroom where a comfortable queen size bed awaits you. Additionally within the bedroom, you have an entire closet as well as a cabinet case to put your belongings - make yourself at home! Also in the bedroom you have a TV (and wifi throughout the premises), ceiling fan, a nightstand with a modern lamp with a charging outlet built in, and a well appointed work space. The house has central AC and your own thermostat to control the heat (the well insulated space stays warm during the colder months). Beautiful during any season (although weather dictates its usage) you also have access to our charming, relaxing, and enclosed back patio. A wonderful area to enjoy some fresh air, pray, meditate, eat, enjoy some wine and cheese, as well as even use our own little putting green :). The ambiance and evenings out in the back patio are just as lovely as it is lit with Edison lights to further relax and unwind. Uniquely located at the crossroads of the NYC boroughs and the western edge of Long Island, midtown Manhattan is less than 15 miles away and the lesser publicized but equally spectacular treasures of LI are all around. The house is on the western side of Long Island in the town of Elmont. Just a minute or two from the Cross Island Pkwy affords access to all other highways to points west and north (the 5 NYC boroughs, NJ, and upstate) and south and east (the rest of Long Island and its beaches). Guest access Self check-in naturally allows for social distancing, but we still like to meet all our guests. Guests will have private access to their own full kitchen, full bathroom, and bedroom. Additionally, guests can access the relaxing enclosed patio via their side walkway through the side gate, which my wife and I will also access. Other things to note No smoking. All your necessities are provided (linens, towels, soap, shampoo). Should you require anything else please let us know. Please do your best to leave everything as neat, clean, and orderly as you found it :). Please remove your shoes when entering the (carpeted) bedroom. God forbid you need either, a toilet plunger and a fire extinguisher are located underneath the kitchen sink. Being that it's a house, you will occasionally hear people coming and going as well as our little doggie, who is perpetually curious and only wants to say hi :).
