Experience the magic of Sisal! 🌿 The space Casa Piedra Maya® is a restored 20th century house located in Sisal, Yucatan, Mexico. Designed by Ronald and his team as an experience to inhabit Yucatecan architecture, where the old and the contemporary coexist in balance. The project retains the original essence of the house, respecting the traces of time as part of its character, and integrating materials, light and atmospheres that invite calm, rest and contemplation. The house is ideal for 4 people and has: • Two air-conditioned bedrooms • Dining room with kitchenette and air conditioning • Two bathrooms with hot water • Private Pool Each space was thought out from the architectural design to the selection of furniture, seeking to create an authentic and welcoming experience. Located in the Pueblo Mágico de Sisal, Casa Piedra Maya® is the ideal place to discover the culture, nature and gastronomy of the Yucatecan coasts, through architecture. We have a space on the street available to park outside the house. The space is marked off with orange traffic cones. You can also find some space available near the house. Other things to note History & Architecture Seeking an atmosphere of peace, balance and harmony, Casa Piedra Maya® was born as a refuge for tranquility. From this point, we want to take you on a journey through time, lived through the experience of inhabiting it. The elements that make up the house convey the emotions of a life of more than 50 years in the port of Sisal. In different corners you can see how the past dialogues with the present, reflecting stories, memories and ways of life that remain. The polished chukum-type floors and the pasta floors evoke those years in which the house was the scene of free childhoods, daily games and family life. The wooden doors highlight the sincerity of nature and the materials available at that time, reminding us of the simplicity and nobility of the essential. The stone masonry on the walls, used before the arrival of the concrete block, was common in the old Yucatecan mansions. These stones shaped strong, solid homes designed to last over time. The furniture, such as the wooden chairs with imperfect and curved lines, and the dining table made of irregular wood — similar to a slice of tzalam tree — conveys a deep connection with nature. In the past, pieces like these were the meeting place for families. The textures and tones of the walls, the natural wear of the color, the cracks and the variations in tone invite us to appreciate the passage of time and the beauty of its imperfections. The warmth of the lighting, accompanied by handmade hanging lamps, generates an atmosphere of calm, introspection and well-being. Casa Piedra Maya® was designed as an experience that honors ancient and contemporary Yucatecan architecture, seeking a balance between history, matter and current life. This project was developed by Eng. Ronald and his team, dedicated to creating spaces with identity, from architectural design to furniture selection and placement.
