Description
The Cabin warmly welcomes you to stay with us in the beautiful crofting village of Culkein, with breath taking scenery surrounding your every view. The view from the lounge window perfectly frames the ever changing colours of the sea and Scottish weather, with a mountainous backdrop. Here you can spot all kinds of wildlife, from garden birds, barn owls or occasional Sea Eagles flying over head. The space The cabin welcomes families of four or can sleep upto four adults, (one travel cot can be provided for those smaller guests). The cabin is well equipped and nothing short of perfect to ensure you have the best possible stay. It offers two bedrooms (Double & Twin), shower room, hall way and an open plan kitchen lounge area. There is a dish washer, oven with a gas hob, large fridge/freezer, and gas central heating throughout the cabin. We want our guests to feel welcome the minute they arrive so there will be milk in the fridge and a selection of tea and coffee at the ready, along with a welcome basket! Guest access Outside there is your own private parking area, with steps & ramp access up to the cabin. A seating area situated at the front of the cabin offers the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy your surroundings. Please note that there are free roaming chickens/ducks around the property. Other things to note There are some lovely walks from the doorstep of the cabin including the Old Man of Stoer, or travel slightly further a field and take on some of the rugged mountains Assynt have to offer. Culkein bay is just a 5 minute walk from the cabin. Here you can sport sea birds, otters, dolphins and seals. The bay is a great place for swimming and has some beautiful beaches and rugged cliffs to enjoy from the water, you are welcome to bring Kayaks/canoes. We welcome well behaved dogs (2 maximum) at an additional charge. Please note that we have a family dog named ‘Max’ who is very friendly and loves a cuddle or two! We also have Aylesbury ducks that you are welcome to see or you may even spot them wandering around the garden looking for the juciest treats in the grass. As the nearest shop is in Lochinver 20 minutes away, we advise people to bring their shopping/amenities.
