Welcome to Big Sky Marfa! Come relax and unwind in our modern, well-appointed and spacious (2400 sq. ft.) house on 1.2 acres. We are on the edge of town but only 10 blocks from the Courthouse. From our back patio/yard you'll have unobstructed views of beautiful ranch land and the Davis Mountains. Our place is private and tranquil with some of the best sunset views in town. Wildlife sightings and star parties are a daily occurrence. We promise that you will not want to leave. The space LIVING ROOM The heart of Big Sky Marfa is its expansive living room with soaring 16-foot ceilings, clerestory windows, and Saltillo tile floors. French doors open onto the back patio, letting in soft desert light throughout the day. A comfortable couch, vintage Turkish rugs and pillows, and a wood-burning kiva fireplace make this space feel both luxurious and lived-in. A TV is available for streaming with your own Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon accounts. KITCHEN This state-of-the-art kitchen is a chef’s dream. Equipped with a high-end Wolfe range, Subzero refrigerator, and views that stretch out over West Texas ranch land, it’s the perfect setting for cooking and gathering. A glass door leads directly to the patio, making al fresco meals a breeze. DINING ROOM Just off the kitchen, the dining room features a stunning 10-person table, ideal for long meals with family and friends. A Bose Bluetooth speaker sets the tone for any occasion, whether it's a formal dinner or a casual brunch. GAME ROOM: Facing the front of the house, the windowed game room includes a classic three-person equipale table and a built-in window bench perfect for morning coffee, snuggling with a good book, card games, or simply watching the sun rise over the high desert. MAIN BEDROOM The spacious main suite includes a king-size bed, plush chairs, a second wood-burning kiva fireplace, and French doors that lead out to the back patio. The ensuite bathroom is pure luxury with dual vanities, a Kohler ‘Tea for Two’ soaking tub, and a two-person walk-in rain shower. GUEST BEDROOMS There are two thoughtfully decorated guest bedrooms, each with queen beds, natural light, closets, and stylish seating areas. French doors in both rooms open to a shared front porch—perfect for a quiet morning read or nightcap under the stars. GUEST BATHROOM Located in the hallway between the guest bedrooms, the full guest bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. LAUNDRY & MUD ROOM Accessible from the garage, the laundry room includes a utility sink, full-size washer and dryer, and serves as a convenient mudroom for shedding shoes, coats, or gear after a day outdoors. HALF BATH A half bathroom is located just off the laundry/mudroom for quick access from the common areas and garage. OUTDOOR SPACES Big Sky’s outdoor living is as impressive as the interior. The covered back patio includes an eight-person dining table, gas BBQ grill, and lounging chairs—an ideal setup for watching the sunset fade over the desert. The backyard is fully fenced (with discreet wire fencing that preserves your view) and landscaped with native desert plants and winding walking paths across an acre of land. Out front, a covered porch with table and chairs offers the best seat in the house for sunrise. GARAGE The large garage connects directly to the mudroom and kitchen and offers an additional refrigerator for extra storage. Guests also have access to the backyard from this space, making it easy to move in and out during your stay. AC/HEAT The house is equipped with central air throughout. Two thermostats for optimal comfort, one in main bedroom and one just off the kitchen. PETS We accept up to 3-4 pets at this property with additional pet cleaning fee when pets are included to the reservation. Guest access All parts of the house are accessible with the exception of the following: 1. Owner closet is locked. Garment rack with rolling wheels is provided. 2. Basement is locked. Other things to note Internet access is provided via wifi. Wildlife: Because our house is on the edge of town, we are fortunate enough to have an abundance of wildlife. If you keep watch, you may see a bobcat, javelinas, bats and beautiful birds. You may also encounter thorns, scorpions and snakes so always take care when walking around outside. It is wise to always wear shoes when walking around in the yard. Bats: We sometimes have a bat colony that lives in the front eaves of our house. We are grateful for the bats because they eat the mosquitoes. However, the downside to having bats is you may find bat poop on the front porch. While we do our best to sweep it away, it comes back quickly. Please excuse their poor bathroom habits. Pillows/Fans/Pack-n-Play: These items can be found in the closet of the Garza Bedroom.
