Feel refreshed when you stay in this gem. Small farmhouse, wooded area with tiny farm on property. Currently two chicken coops and one medium sized barn. Chicken coops are occupied with pet/egg laying chickens. Barn is empty, future may include goats. This small cottage/cabin, is surrounded by nature. You will possibly encounter the wild animals that call this area home. Nothing big or scary. Enjoy feeling secluded while also being 15/20 minutes from food and shopping. 5 minutes from reservoir. The space Small cottage one floor farmhouse. Two bedrooms. One with king size bed, other has two full size. Also futon in the other living space. Private, full kitchen. Open concept living room/kitchen with large island. Dining space on island or smaller dinette table by large window with a nice view. Fun backyard hangout area with fire pit and seating. Large front porch with seating. Second living room space area is a sunroom that we have converted into year round living space with a newly installed gas heater wall mounted fireplace. The wood burning stove in that room is currently out of order and not able to be used. Guest access Guests will have access to entire home. The back yard area in between home and garage. Guests will also have access to front porch and yard. Other things to note This home is an old home. 1920’s. It’s not perfect and there are areas that show its age. We actively try to keep up with it, but old homes will always have some sort of issue. Please keep this in mind before booking or reviewing. There are no major issues with this house. The house is surrounded by trees/plants/nature and some wild animals. We have Deer, raccoon, opossum, fox, moles, mice, rabbits, garter snakes, hawks, owls, lots of birds. We have woods on back half of property along with chicken coops and a barn. Those are currently unavailable to visit. You will hear our roosters crowing throughout the day. The heating in the home sometimes makes noises. It is because of our baseboard heating system. This old home has lots of character. It’s great for people or families who enjoy the outdoors and love nature. Please reach out if you have any questions, need anything extra, that we may be able to accommodate, anything at all. We are happy to help with anything we can. We also live very close on the same street as the Airbnb and could be over to assist with any issues that could occur. Although we truly hope not one little thing goes wrong. This little neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing. Please be respectful of the neighbors. They may not be really close but if they’re is too much noise, it could be a problem. There are also children that live on this street. The speed limit is 25. Keeping it at that or below is ideal. We are pet friendly! We have a dog and a cat and all our chickens. We know how important it can be to travel with your pets. Please clean up after your pets. There are other dogs on the street. Neighbors dogs are not super close, but sometimes are going for a walk with owner (leashed) on the street. We would hate for a dog fight to occur, because we love our neighbors dogs too. We are not responsible for any issues/damage with pets and animals that live on or around property. Keeping close eye on your pets is always best. There is security camera outside on premises on garage. It will only be viewing the driveway. For security purposes of host and guest. This is to keep all parties safe. Also to log what vehicles come and go from the home. There will never be any cameras on the inside of home. We value your privacy and do not want to make our guests uncomfortable. No smoking in home. This was our family home and would hate to see it damaged or burned. We love this house and want it taken care of with love. We hope you enjoy your stay here! Thank you for choosing to be our guests.
