Tickers - Cottage in Cley, Norfolk

Our home away from home, we have lovingly restored to relax and make memories to treasure during your stay. Come and stay at Tickers to blow the cobwebs away, enjoy the amazing scenery, delicious food and coastal path walks which are accessed from the back door! Relax with our roaring log burner or a bath to soak in after a long day on the beach. Small enclosed gardens to front and rear of the property. Off street parking is available behind the house on a first come first served basis. The space We purchased Tickers in 2021 - we think it found us to be honest. We have always loved coming to the Norfolk coast and stayed with friends, as a child I would go to Blakeney once a year with all my family and have so many happy memories of the area. it was a dream to one day own our own bolthole and in 2021 that came true. When we bought it we thought it would need a new kitchen and bathroom and a re-decorate before letting it out as a holiday home, we soon discovered it needed a lot more than that so we gutted the house whilst trying to keep its charm that original captured us. Downstairs is underfloor heated, whilst upstairs is a traditional heating system. In the sitting/ dining area you will find a double sided log burner (no logs are provided), perfect for those chilly evenings after a long day at the beach or walking the coastal paths. The kitchen leads into the dining area and then onto the sitting room where you will find the TV. You have access to all your streaming services via the TV but also will find the TV does have an aerial so with the smaller remote you can watch regular TV too. In the woven baskets under the window seat you will find a selection of board games and children's toys/colouring in. From the dining area leads in to the hallway, here you will find a bench for taking your wellies/boots off and coat pegs above. The cupboard you will find placemats, coasters, ironing board, iron, a bath mat, baby monitor, dustpan and brush and a steam mop (should you feel the desire!!). Under the stairs you will find the travel cot and matress in a black zipped bag. There is also an amazon dog crate and bed should you need one. Going upstairs (there is a stairgate at the top of the stairs) you will come across the bathroom, this has a bath and electric shower over the bath. Our first bedroom has a superking bed (air b and B didn't have this option on the listing) the room is not overly generous but we decided we would rather a bigger bed as we spend more time outside (or at the pub!), our second bedroom has a king size Vi-Spring bed and the third bedroom is very compact with a low single bed- ideal for a child, here you will also find a selection of children's books. The two bedrooms on the front have roller black out blinds as well as blackout fabric roman blinds. The superking bedroom just has a thick blackout fabric roman blind. The bathroom has a roller blind. The views are so gorgeous from the bathroom and master it always seems a shame to shut them out. To the front of the property is a hardstanding paved area with two chairs and a table. I like to watch the world go by from here. The rear garden has a patio area, outside tap and hose, table, chairs and a well stocked shed. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, we do have an owners cupboard in the hallway, half of the cupboard is locked for our personal/private items. Other things to note Towels and bed linen are provided for your stay. The cottage is an end of terrace cottage. The only bathroom is situated upstairs. There are no logs provided in the property unless left by previous guests. No coffee, tea or sugar is left in the property. The coffee machine is a Nespresso Vertuo Plus.
