Casa das Aroeiras

In 1978 I visited Bonito for the first time, since then I dreamed of building a refuge in this ecological paradise. And I always knew what kind of material I wanted to use is demolition. More specifically bricks, wood, doors and windows of my grandparents house. A 1935 building that was about 300 km from Bonito, where my parents, me and my children were born. And after a lot of work, Casa das Aroeiras emerged in 2014, in a neighborhood with a lot of native forest, wild animals, lakes and waterfalls The space Although we are about 1 km from the main avenue, our house is a space for people who appreciate the rustic and contact with nature. And because of the reuse of materials, our house has natural wear marks and characteristics of almost 100 years of use, which allows a unique experience. A rustic house, with several elements of wood, reuse and full of history.
