Your Beautiful Sanctuary in a Private Palm Grove

Casita Azul is a 2 bedroom casita close to town in a private palm grove oasis providing a safe, peaceful, and unique stay. Enjoy Starlink internet, a high quality king sized bed, two twin beds, smart TV, full kitchen, dining & living room areas, abundant parking, outdoor seating and more. An easy 15 min walk or 5 min drive into town, 15-20 minute drive to beautiful white sand beaches. The property is totally fenced so your dogs can have some off-leash play time too! The space You'll arrive at Casita Azul after a 5 minute drive from the highway. You'll notice that you've entered a large palm grove and a peaceful and lush area; a true oasis. Removed from the sounds of town, traffic, and roosters, you'll get great sleep in Casita Azul. If you like birds, this is the place for you. Wake to the beautiful songs of Mourning Doves and House Finches, and then spend time watching all the birds pass by. Everything from Gila Woodpeckers and Mocking Birds to Quail, colorful Scott's Orioles and Warblers, and several types of Hummingbirds make their homes here. As the evening falls, the songs pick back up and if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the resident Great Horned and Barn Owls! We reside on the back part of the property, known as Susurro de las Palmas but you'll access Casita Azul via your own private gate and have the whole front lot to yourself. The property is fully fenced so your dog(s) can have a fun and safe romp around. There's also a smaller fenced area that is directly connected to Casita Azul. Harvest your own limes, oranges, tamarind, and guava when in season. When the orange trees are in blossom, the stunning aroma of the flowers is unbelievable. This is a truly spectacular area and nothing like what you'd expect in most of Baja. Casita Azul itself is clean, quiet, and newly built. It offers many comforts one would expect in a home, including a very comfortable king sized bed, two twin beds in the second bedroom as well as two large closets with plenty of room for hanging and folded clothes. Each bedside has its own reading light, plug, and bedside table. You'll find high speed Starlink internet not only in the house but also throughout most of the lot. There's a smart TV as well as DVD player and a wide collection of movie options. The kitchen is complete and includes a coffee maker, 5 burner range, ample counter space, full set of dishes and glassware, good sized refrigerator, sharp knives, a blender, and more. There's also a breakfast bar. The dining and living room are spacious and stylishly appointed. There is seating for at least 6 people. The living room's two sofas double as additional twin sized beds (the bottom cushions are foam). The bathroom is easily accessed from either bedroom and located a short hallway away from the kitchen. In it you'll find a walk in shower, toilet, and sink. There's a seating area with two lounge chairs where you can rest and take in the peace and quiet. There's also an outdoor picnic table. This is a really lovely area and we look forward to inviting you to this beautiful part of Mulegé! Guest access You'll have access to the whole house as well as the front lot through a private gate marked with a sign for "Casita Azul." We have self check-in so you can come and go as you like. Make yourself right at home! Other things to note Because we are located in a rural part of the town, the nights are quite dark here. That makes for AMAZING star gazing, but can also make it difficult to find the property at night. Be sure to follow the directions that we will send to you via the AirBnB app prior to your arrival. DO NOT USE any of the GPS apps as they will not get you to the property. We will send you a map prior to your arrival along with instructions that are easy to follow (available in both English and Spanish). Casita Azul can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a king size mattress in the main bedroom and two twin mattresses in the second bedroom. There are two additional twin size foam mattresses in the living room should you need them. It is amazingly quiet here, but on the rare occasion that you find things to be either too loud (a distant party, for example) or even too quiet, we offer a sound machine in the bedroom to help you create the soundscape you want. We provide drinking water, so no need to buy bottled water.
