Keld Apartment, Porlock

Keld is a spacious, bright and tranquil first floor apartment of around 1220 sq ft, built circa 1900 and situated in the heart of Porlock village. It has been restyled by new owners in 2023, with recent additions including an electric shower, new cooker, dishwasher and front door, plus new carpets in several rooms as of March 2025. Coastal and Exmoor scenes on canvas decorate the walls throughout. The space The apartment is accessed via stone steps with a handrail up to the front door, then stairs lead up to the rooms, with a few further steps up to the master bedroom. Rooms are well-proportioned with high ceilings. Sleeping up to seven guests across three bedrooms, there is a spacious master with a king-size bed, a generous twin room, and a large triple room with a double and a single bed. The living room is large, with a TV, DVD player, comfortable seating for six, books, games and walking guides, plus a dining table with views over the High Street and surrounding hills. There is a wood-burner for decorative purposes only, not for use. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast table, electric double oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, toaster and kettle, with a distant view towards Bossington Hill. One large bathroom has a shower cubicle, bath, toilet and sink. Bed linen, seven bath towels, one hand towel and two tea towels are provided, along with heating, electricity, cleaning costs and Wi-Fi. An iron, ironing board and high chair are available, and a travel cot can be provided (guests should bring their own cot bedding). The property is strictly non-smoking and, sorry, no pets are permitted. Due to the internal stairs, this first floor apartment is unlikely to suit those with limited mobility, and young children will need supervision on the stairs. One allocated parking space is available a two-minute walk away, with additional pay-and-display parking and some street parking in the village.
