Home in Salem

Escape to our beautiful historic Spanish revival home located in the center of Willamette Valley. Our home is the only historic Spanish home in the city surrounded by the historic Mill Creek canals along a canopy of Linden trees. It is the most tree covered street in all of Salem and is very fragrant from the Linden tree flowers from Spring to mid-Summer. We are 1 mile from the downtown area, the capitol, and Willamette University; 10 minutes from wineries, and 20 minutes from Silver Falls. The space The house is 3600 ft², and appointed luxuriously with Victorian farmhouse design and modern flare and amenities including a hot tub, new washer and dryer, two fireplaces, kitchen dining and a dining room with a mini bar, bluetooth shower fans that play music, smart TVs in every room, a games and a foosball table , stereo system, and fully appointed kitchen, and outside dining area. There is also a daybed and dog pen area for fido. There is a large master bedroom with a soaking bath and shower, a large bedroom with half bath for the kids, and another queen size bedroom next to a full bathroom. All of the bathrooms are complete with plush towels and wash cloths, cosmetics including soaps, and shampoo, and Bluetooth fans in the full bathrooms that play music. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning. This is a great stay for someone who enjoys the quaint rustic charm of a historic home, but with modern comforts. We have tried to keep as much of the original accents of the home as possible, including original doors, door knobs, and even the windows and window frames. Keep in mind this house is 100 years old. A few things are squeaky and you might find a few creeks. There is a lot to do around the area from hiking over a dozen waterfalls, exploring natural hot springs, wine tasting, historical tours, ghost tours, visiting local breweries, and Kayaking down the Willamette and other nearby waterways. *** This house does have steps to get up to it and also a steep staircase to the upper two bedrooms. It is not suitable for people with disabilities or vision impairment unless they are to be guided at all times. *** Guest access Guests have access to the entire property except for the basement and garage. Other things to note Our home is a mile from downtown Salem, Willamette University, Willamette River, a few blocks from nearly a dozen breweries, and a short drive to dozens of wineries in the Willamette Valley. It is also less than an hour from Silver Falls State Park, many hot springs, Portland, and the coast. it is the perfect destination to explore what Oregon has to offer.
