The space This cosy property has flexible sleeping configurqtions making it ideal for a multitude of circumstances: singles, couples, two couples, couple with up to 2 children, and even 3x friends. It features an entrance vestibule, utility/boiler room with washing machine, which leads via a separate door to a large fully open-plan kitchen/ dining/living area. The property has been completely refurbished to modern standards - and redecorated for 2024 - to incorporate a generous and fully equipped kitchen area with views down the driveway to the hills beyond; a dining section with extendable table and chairs; and a cosy lounge area with 1 x leather 2-seater sofa and 1 x brand new (Feb 2025) 3-seater leather double sofa bed that features an easy up-and-over transformation mechanism and a high quality, thick mattress intended for long term sleeping usage. Fully Smart HD TV. Different lighting options afford guests the ability to create a variety of moods; candles and tea lights are supplied to help create a cosy and romantic feel. Beyond the lounge area is a walk-in shower room with very generously sized modern shower, a sink and low level toilet. Just beyond is the property's very large bedroom which has dual aspect windows to front and back, two chests of drawers, a double bed (upgrading to new King size bed from 26 March 2025), and a single foldaway z-bed Why not also create a romantic mood by switching on the LED Willow-Ivy feature lights that sparkle behind the headboard? For those who have a young child or infant the bedroom is sufficiently large to easily accommodate a travel cot, or put up a (supplied) Z-style bed. *Please note that the entrance driveway is shared with another (not owned by us) dwelling house (Greystones), as well as the apartment upstairs (also owned by us). Guest access Guests have sole use of the entire ground floor of this traditional Lakeland stone barn conversion. The space is fully self contained with its own private entrance (the larger upstairs apartment of the barn has its own entrance and parking area on the opposite side of the building). Immediately outside the entrance is a seating area for guests; the large shared garden at the rear of the property is also available for use but please note that guests in the upstairs apartment also have use of this space. Other things to note Provision can be made for 13A “slow charging” for electric vehicles, at cost. For your convenience we have a plug-in meter that measures KWh usage (and £ usage) from the socket allocated. We charge at cost (currently 23p/KWh) and make no profit on providing this facility.
