We have very recently completed renovation of the whole building, creating a modern, yet authentic space for you and your group. The living space has 12 tatami mats, which can sleep up to 5 guests. The kitchen and bathroom space have been fitted with raw pinewood floors and the toilet has a brand new Washlet attached. Every guest group will have the whole space to themselves with no off-limit areas. 12 tatami living space with brand new heater / aircon / Low table Kitchen with IH electric hob, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots, pans, plates and glasses Bathroom with wash basin, hair dryer and brand new shower unit NOT provided: washing machine / clothes dryer. Within 3 minutes walk is laundromat with reasonably priced washing and drying services Keys will be stored in a secure box next to the entrance to allow you to check-in at flexible times after 3pm. If you need to drop luggage earlier, please talk to us and we can work it out. Comprehensive information will be provided prior to check-in dates by email and SMS (in English / Japanese). Please get in touch by SMS before you come. For any questions or problems that you may have during the stay, we will be on-hand as much as possible during reasonable hours. Michiko will be available nearby to provide any extra towels / toiletries. The International Red Cross hospital is 700m and has English-speaking doctors. We will help you out as best we can. Higashikujo is a diverse community of Japanese, Korean and Chinese residents, along with many short term and longer visitors who enjoy the proximity to Kyoto Station. Nearby there are two Lawson stores, laundromat and Kyoto's famous Kamo river. Within walking distance are Tofukuji temple and the red gates of Fushimi Inari shrine. Please note that due to the convenient location, we are positioned near to a large road. Please understand that there is some traffic noise in the area.
