Bike around the island; it's perfectly flat. Bring your boat, kayak, paddle boards or canoe and tie up to the dock so you can explore the spectacular Columbia River. Fish for salmon, steelhead and sturgeon or hunt duck and geese. Take a day trip to Astoria or Longbeach. There's really something for everyone here. The space This charming 3 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath home on the water is the perfect getaway. You’ll have all the comforts of home in a serene, bucolic setting. This home was originally a float house surrounded by water. Finished over time to accommodate the growing family, our mom lived in it for 65 years. Her love for the water and the beauty of her surroundings is evident. We still enjoy spending time here for weekend getaways and family gatherings. We hope you love it as much as we do. Guest access Guests have use of the house, deck, dock and yard. Other things to note The ramp and dock are perfect for lazy days on the river. Life jackets are provided in the box on the dock. If you bring a boat or canoe, you can put in at the Elochoman Marina in nearby Cathlamet. Kayaking and canoeing are especially popular here with calm water and plenty of little byways and sloughs to explore. Swimming off the dock is ok but THERE IS A CURRENT at certain times of day. ALSO IMPORTANT: access to upstairs bedroom has a narrow winding staircase. It may be challenging for some.
