The space Set beside our farmhouse on peaceful Morndyke Farm, Morndyke Cottage is a welcoming two-bedroom countryside retreat sleeping up to three guests. Surrounded by open farmland, fishing lakes and rural walks, it offers a relaxing escape in the heart of North Yorkshire. Inside, the cottage features a comfortable living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering stays, two bedrooms (one king and one single), and a modern shower room. It’s ideal for couples, small families or friends looking to explore the Yorkshire countryside. French doors open onto a private patio with outdoor seating and a fire pit – perfect for alfresco dining or quiet evenings under the stars. We are pet friendly and welcome 1–2 small to medium-sized dogs (guests must read and agree to the pet terms and conditions prior to arrival). Guests can enjoy scenic rural walks directly from the doorstep and may book a fishing pitch on one of our on-site lakes for an additional fee. Advance booking is recommended. Beyond the garden lies the UK’s second-largest parrot sanctuary. Guests can book a private parrot experience, where the owner provides a guided tour (advance notice required). All proceeds go directly to supporting the registered parrot charity. Located near Thirsk and within easy reach of the North York Moors, Morndyke Cottage is perfectly placed for walking, cycling, fishing holidays and peaceful countryside breaks in Yorkshire. Guest access Guests have access to the cottage, garden and can roam the grounds. Other things to note Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
