Oaklands is a new barn conversion in the countryside. Peaceful, but close to Bristol City, Airport, buses, train (mainline). Other locations nearby include Bath, Glastonbury, Clevedon, Weston-Super-Mare and the Mendips hills. Local pubs, shops and amenities are 1.5 miles away, as well as public footpaths, festival way cycle path and open countryside. guests booking for 5 need to be aware it is best suited to families as sharing one bathroom, the extra bed will be a fold out in the living area. The space Oaklands is a new barn conversion in the countryside. We rebuilt this modern barn, a labour of love, to make a cosy bungalow with under floor heating and a wood burner. It has a modern open plan living space, with a well equipped kitchen area, high ceilings with beams and velux windows. The bungalow is filled with light, but bedrooms are dark and cosy at night! The bungalow is self contained with 2 double bedrooms (one of which has a kingsize bed). The master bedroom has double doors out into the back garden with countryside views. There is a wardrobe and drawer space for belongings in each bedroom. There is 1 bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The living space is open plan with amazing views over open countryside. There is seating and dining for 4 people. The kitchen has all you need including dishwasher, fridge, microwave, food processor and a double oven. This bungalow is perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful stay in nature, with easy access to Bristol City Centre. Depending on time of booking, the surrounding fields, orchard and woodland are accessible for walks and picnics. We often see hares, foxes and deer. In the pond are dragonflies and newts. We hope you enjoy staying with us and enjoy the unique mix of country life and city accessibility. Guest access It is within a working yard and there are outbuildings, vehicles and activity to the front of the building. You may be aware of occasional activity and people in the yard, this is very low key and will not affect your peace or privacy. You are welcome to use the gas barbecue and firepit, there is plenty of outdoor seating. There is free parking that will be available for 2/3 cars. Other things to note Please be aware it is within a yard where there is some low key activity. you may be aware of people or vehicles on occasion, but your peace and enjoyment will not be affected.
