Access to old forest growth, a magical creek and meadow, and in season herbs for cooking and teas. Ideal for families who want to recharge in nature from going on hikes to grilling and eating outside on a spacious deck. Located within walking distance from Historic Bethabara Park. Very close to Wake Forest University. 10 minutes from downtown! The space The downstairs apartment is self-contained with private access through a code. Sleeping arrangements include a King bed and a couch that can be converted into a daybed upon request. The kitchen has many amenities and a stovetop, oven, toaster and coffee pot. Coffee and vegan creamer will be provided as well as some spices and oil. The property includes many acres to explore with a view similar to many parks. The backyard slopes down into a meadow and back up into a forest. Your host is a trained forest therapy practitioner and this can be an additional fee add-on if you would like guided time to recharge on the property. Sometimes there will be children present upstairs and you may hear the little patter of some little feet and some larger feet. There will also be times when the house is more quiet, this varies depending on the day. The apartment is perfect for 2 adults but 4 adults could fit if using the daybed. Families are welcome and there is an entertainment room. The TV is Roku accessible and a WiFi passcode will be provided. Guest access The apartment area is self contained, so once you code in you’ll have access to the full kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, bedroom and full bathroom Other things to note There are two dogs that live in the house upstairs. As the indoor areas are completely separate there wouldn’t be a chance for the dogs to interact. My dogs are contained to the front outdoor area. If you have dogs they are welcome anywhere on a leash outside of the front yard fencing which is a mix of gates, wooden fences and metal fencing. My larger dog is protective of the yard and driveway so the best strategy is to ignore him and not try to pet him through or over the fence.
