Downtown Running Springs and the surrounding area offers groceries, restaurants and shopping. The space Our 2bd/2ba vacation home offers the perfect cozy getaway for couples or a small family. Walk into the spacious and bright open-concept first level, offering vaulted ceilings and large west facing windows w/ views of the valley, gorgeous sunsets, city lights and stars. The kitchen is fully equipped to suit any home chef or baker. Coffee lovers will delight in various brewing options from standard drip coffee, pour over, to Delonghi espresso machine and adjustable burr grinder for those who like their beans ground fresh. Enjoy morning coffee or afternoon cocktails while taking in the mountain views and breathtaking sunsets from choice of two decks. Cozy up at night in front of the living room's warm fireplace or use the Celestron telescope to explore the night sky. MAIN AREA: Open concept with defined living room w/fireplace, dining room w/view and fully equipped kitchen. BEDROOM #1: Located on lower level. Spacious room outfitted w/king bed, 42" tv, reading area and work station (complete w/ extra monitor and headset). Access to lower deck. Twin bed or Pack and Play for infants/kids available upon request BEDROOM #2: Located on lower level. Outfitted with queen and loft twin bed. 42" tv. Access to lower deck. KIDS KORNER: Kids play nook accessible from bedroom #2 TWO FULL BATHROOMS: one on each level w/tub/showers Entrance: Keyless entry smart lock. We are a NO shoe household. Please remove your shoes upon entering to minimize tracking dirt, pine sap, snow, etc into the house. There is a coat rack just outside the front door for wet or muddy clothes. Clothing racks and the washer and dryer are available as needed. Do not place clothing rack on carpet if wet items are dripping. No recreational gear (ie skis/snowboard/bikes) are allowed inside the house. There is a gear locker and lockable ski rack available on the parking deck. Entertainment: Hi-Speed Wi-Fi. Cellular service is spotty so connecting to Wi-Fi calling is recommended. All 3 TVs are equipped with Firesticks including direct access to Disney and Amazon Prime. Celestron PowerSeeker telescope – if unfamiliar please read operation manual before using. Parking: Streel level parking deck for two cars with direct access to the first level. Backing into spaces is NOT allowed. Doing so may hit/damage the gear locker and other items located on the deck. No Street parking. Heating and Cooling: Central heating and fireplace are available. Like most mountain homes there is no A/C. There are ceiling fans in the main room and each bedroom. Proximity to Services: Almost everything you need is within a 5-20min drive. Groceries, gas, take away / dine-in restaurants and boutique shopping are all within proximity to the property. Along with the available services in Running Springs more exist in nearby Arrowhead as well as most major big box stores located 20-25min drive down the mountain. Please respect the rules regarding guest limits, no parties, no smoking and no pets (our children are highly allergic). This is our family vacation home and we ask that you respect the space so that we can continue to offer others the chance to experience this wonderful mountain town. Be kind to our neighbors and local community who call this special place home. Our Ring doorbell camera is there to ensure compliance as well as your safety. Please monitor and take winter weather conditions and tire chain regulations seriously. The mountain weather is ever changing and unpredictable and you can easily find yourself stuck on our steep street or not be able to go up or down the mountain. Power outages are rare but possible. A duel gas/propane powered generator is available on-site should the electricity go out, and is enough to ONLY run lights, wi-fi and the refrigerator. It is not equipped to power any other appliances, which will put a strain on the system and run the risk of depleting available backup power (heating, hot water and range are gas). Needed extension cords and power strips are in storage locker. Gas/propane tanks may not be full, and we advise guests to check availability upon arrival in the event of high winds or storms. The landscape is steep/uneven and is not suitable for playing, sledding or any other activity. A Ring camera is present to ensure compliance.
