Description
Foss Cottage is a lovely self-catering holiday cottage in the popular village of East Prawle. It is situated at the southernmost tip of Devon between Salcombe and Dartmouth, near the sea on the South Devon coast facing south and looking out over the English Channel between Prawle Point and Start Point. The house has spectacular sea views. There is a large front garden with flower beds and terraces. At the west of the cottage is a secluded orchard, also with lovely views. The space The cottage’s four bedrooms will sleep six/seven adults plus two children. Guest access Very well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer Sitting Room: large sofa, armchairs, open fire, record player and vinyl records, books and games Kitchen/Diner. Family dining table seating 8 at a push with second table next to it for expansion. Stairs to first floor landing Double bedroom with super king size bed, single bed sea views, wardrobe and chest of drawers Family bathroom: bath, WC and hand basin with views to the orchard. Double Bedroom with spectacular views of the sea, chest of drawers and hanging space. Very small children's bedroom with twin child size beds and children's books Second floor bedroom: Twin beds, chest of drawers and hanging space Garden: Beautifully planted garden. Patio with large table and benches for outside dining with fantastic views of the sea and coast. The gate at the bottom of the garden is a 5 minute walk to the SW Coast Path and on to the coves and beaches below. Included: Bed linen, bathmats, towels, (Guests to bring own beach towels) electricity and heating Shopping. The village shop (open in Summer) has a basic supply of groceries. Kingsbridge has a Tesco and Morrisons plus a bustling high street. Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons, Sainsburys, and Asda all deliver to the Cottages but they may have problems getting down to the cottage so meet them on the village green. Other things to note Please note that although there is a land line, there is no wi-fi or phone signal in our cottage! Also there is no television. This is just how we like it, as do our guests, many of whom consider it a positive plus to spend their holidays off-grid. Both phone signal and wi-fi are available in the village, but if you need to be connected at all times then this is not the cottage for you.
