Allen House (calm retreat)

Not so much driving when you're centrally located between Tri-Cities and Prosser--18 minutes each way. Property sits on 1.5 acres on a small hill, and your private space is located in rear of house where there's no activity but lots of great views of the vineyards and the Yakima River. Nearby services include a gas station, and easy entry into Benton City proper for churches, groceries, post office, dining and wineries. Owners are a quiet couple who look forward to making your visit memorable. The space The scenery from the apartment is overwhelming and lends itself to the quiet ambiance inside your space. We especially like the lighted pink graveled pathway lined with trees and shrubs that leads you from the parking area to your front door. Guest access The last 4 digits of your phone number are entered into the key lock, allowing access to the space. During your visit, you must take advantage of the grill, smoker or bbq on the covered patio. Light up the fire pit and feel its warmth while sipping wine and planning your next day's venture(s). Other things to note A washer and dryer are not provided but there is a local laundromat. Take note that the straw basket on top of the fridge contains some snacks, and the Guide on the coffee table instructs how things work. Please do not attempt to use the wood burning stove--it is inoperable at this time; however, the electric fireplace works great. For your safety, a fire extinguisher is provided and is located next to the kitchen sink. We will arrange a cleaning of the space for month-long stays after the first two weeks to change sheets, towels, clean bathroom, etc., at an additional $100. More frequent cleanings are available upon request, of course.
