St Kilda beachfront
Description
Welcome to St Kilda! Enjoy bayside living, from a cozy nest. My apartment has recently been refurbished, it's spacious, bright, very quiet (thanks to a setback from the main road), has cross ventilation and a nice view of the bay. A 2 min walk from the Acland Street shopping & dining precinct, and across the road from St Kilda Beach, Luna Park, theatres, live music venues, restaurants, gardens, and more... The tram stop is 50m away, just across the Alfred square garden. The space The apartment is on the 3rd floor (with no lift, but a comfortable internal stair), across the road from St Kilda Beach, Luna Park, theatres, live music venues, restaurants, gardens, and more... The main bedroom has a Queen bed, the second bedroom has a Double bed. The kitchen is comfortably set up, with good quality appliances and cookware. My car spot is available for use, and it is the 3rd on the left when entering, and is clearly indicated with n. 21 on the ground. A tram stop is right outside the apartment block, with lines 16 and 96 which will take you to the CBD within 15-20 min, and then to Melbourne Uni, Fitzroy, Brunswick, and other popular destinations. Also, tram line 12 is 5 min walk away. Acland street and Fitzroy street are within a very short walk, while Chapel street, Carlisle street, Elwood and Brighton are all within 20-30 min by foot. Lots of outdoor activities are possible: a family beach, a lovely botanical garden, fishing, looking at the tiny penguins, and the thrills of skateboarding, skidiving or kitesurfing... St Kilda has so much to offer, year-round! Guest access You will have access to the whole apartment while I'm traveling overseas for business, therefore my answers may be delayed a little bit (please be patient). The cleaners are an Airbnb specialist, and they will do their best to prepare it according to your needs, as much as possible. Please let me know in advance if you have any special requirements. Other things to note You will find a folder with the Users' Manuals for the main appliances, some advice for nice places and activities in St Kilda, and the House Rules & Tips. You will also find essential cooking and cleaning products, 2 umbrellas, and some simple tools should you need basic repairs. A couple of things to note: - the air conditioning is a modern portable unit, which needs to be easily installed at a window of your choice. It's simple to operate, but is a bit noisy when the compressor starts. Considering that the apartment has good cross ventilation, I normally use it only 4-5 days/year, if working from home on a very hot summers day, however I never needed to use it at night, when the temperature drops and a pleasant sea breeze gets in. - there's no WI-FI simply because I use the data from my phone for all my needs, including streaming music and watching movies on the Smart TV. Try to connect your phone, too, it's easy and the instructions are in the House Rules & Tips. The TV has also 2 different HDMI cables to connect it to your laptop, if you prefer. Last but not least: NO smoking and parties, please. It's a quiet nest in cosy St Kilda, you will get much more fun by getting out :-)
