The space La Croix des Forges is a beautifully restored stone house combining authentic charm with modern comfort. Recently renovated, the house offers exposed beams, cathedral ceilings, and stylish furnishings throughout. It’s the ideal hideaway for two couples or a small family looking to relax in the heart of the Dordogne. 🏡 Inside The bright living room features two large sofas, comfortable armchairs, a wood burner set in a majestic stone fireplace, and French windows overlooking the garden. The adjacent dining area includes a table for six and a sideboard, while the fully equipped country-style kitchen offers all essentials for cooking – plus direct access to the terrace and garden. Upstairs: One twin bedroom with two single beds and wardrobe A master bedroom (interconnected) with a 160×200cm bed, wardrobe, and mobile AC unit A charming bathroom with freestanding tub, washbasin and WC Downstairs (separate entrance): A third double bedroom with 160×200cm bed, ensuite shower room, and cool summer temperatures A laundry room with washer, iron and sink is located in the basement. Baby cot and highchair available upon request. 🌿 Outside The 7000m² mature garden features lawns, flower beds and fruit trees — guests are welcome to pick their own figs, cherries or apples. Two furnished terraces offer a shaded lounge area and an outdoor dining space with gas grill. The private pool (12×6m) overlooks the valley and is equipped with sunbeds, parasols and an electric safety cover. Also available: table tennis, gated parking for 3 cars, and a 22kW EV charging station. Guest access As our guest, you’ll enjoy full and private access to the entire house, garden and pool. Upon arrival, you will be personally welcomed by our local host, who will hand over the keys, explain everything you need to know, and remain available throughout your stay for any questions or assistance. Other things to note All utilities, linen and end-of-stay cleaning are included in the rental fee. A 22kW EV charging station is available – fair use policy applies. The house is non-smoking inside. Pets may be accepted upon request. The pool is open from May to October (weather permitting). To help avoid unnecessary energy waste, we kindly ask guests to keep doors and windows closed while using the mobile AC. Thank you for your understanding.
