IG @parkplaceonthelake The space Park Place on the lake is a recently renovated A-frame cottage nestled directly on the serene shores of Young Lake, a smaller spring fed lake, part of the Kawartha Lakes region which offers a gentle sandy bottom and warm temperatures. It offers a nice gradual entry, great for swimming and paddling with the use of our provided kayaks, canoe or paddle boards. Enjoy the tranquility on the private dock just steps away from the cottage as you sip your morning coffee or watch the breathtaking sunsets overlooking the lake with the western facing shoreline. Cozy up around the fire pit, toast marshmallows and share stories while soaking up the serene views of the lake. The most loved is the spacious private master loft which hosts a comfortable queen bed with breathtaking views of the lake. The main floor offers a welcoming guest bedroom with a cozy double bed alongside an additional bedroom offering two twin-sized beds, perfect for the kids. All bedrooms include comfortable bedding, fresh white linens, pillows and extras blankets. High end professional shampoo, conditioner and body wash, fluffy white towels and hairdryer are provided as well as a diffuser with essential oils to set your desired relaxing fragrance. The bathroom also comes fully equipped with a washer and dryer for the convenience of your stay. It provides ample seating with an eight seat porcelain and wicker patio set, complimented by two wooden tamarack chairs, perfect for sunning along with a Weber propane BBQ for outdoor cooking. Walking down the deck stairs you are greeted by the welcoming outdoor fire pit area which include 4 adirondack chairs offering a welcoming space to enjoy the stunning lake views and the private dock only steps away offering an additional 2 adirondack chairs. If you wish to catch some shade on those sunny days, the spacious back deck has you covered. Lounge in the hammock or relax on another set of wooden tamarack chairs under the towering trees above. It's also the perfect spot for sipping coffee and taking in the sun's morning rays. Both decks are strung with string lights that add a magical touch to the ambiance. The property is nestled on a 50x400' lot, providing plenty of green space in the backyard, perfect to enjoy lawn games. For more photos, favorite local travel & tourism info, follow and tag us on IG @ parkplaceonthelake Guest access ~ Guests have access to entire house and yard (50'x400') as well as the private dock just steps away from the cottage. ~ local community park ~2 min walk to children's park, library, pavilion, horseshoe pit, green space, and dock on the water Other things to note ~ The tap water is safe to drink and is tested regularly. ~ Fresh linens and towels are provided, including cottage themed beach towels. ~ Water levels in the Kawarthas fluctuate from season to season but overall landscape is similar and still keeps the water safe. ~ There is no boat launch on the property. ~Wood is free to use if present on fire rack next to cottage, otherwise wood bags available for purchase at Sebright General store. ~Full range of life jackets and water shoes are available in storage box on deck but bring your own to be sure for your own safety. ~ All guests must wear a life jacket while operating any boat, including kayaks, canoe and paddle board and guests assume all risks when conducting any activities on the property. ~ kindly note there is poison ivy in the wooded area at back of our property. ~ We have neighbors, please be respectful as we value those relationships. Our centrally located cottage is the perfect base for your trip as there are many activities to enjoy in the area.
