Our home offers privacy of entire 1st floor for guests. I live on the second floor. A cool comfortable two story home, close to stores,and downtown. On 1.5 acres of wooded land in a quiet neighborhood, 1.5 mi. off I 94. Biking distance to anything in EC. Wildlife viewing is free! Cabin experience in the middle of town. Tennis courts nearby, 2 mi. from UW-Eau Claire, and Chippewa River Bike Trail. 20 minutes to Tower Ridge X-Country Ski trails. 10 minutes from Lowes Creek County Park, with great classic ski trails and some of the best mountain biking trails in the midwest! Perfect for running too. Private bathroom w/ large walk-in shower. Comfortable queen size bed. Refrigerator and laundry close to guest room. Free parking on driveway with close access to front door, and on street if needed for second vehicle . City bus stop 1 block away. Open access to entire 1st floor. Curtained stairway divides host’s living space on 2nd floor with guest area on 1st floor semi-private. (separate entrances for each floor) There is a piano in the room if you care to play--we love to hear it get some love! Plus your own patio right in front of your room. We would usually be present in the evenings during your stay, but we are on the upper level, and respect the privacy of our guests. You probably will hear us a bit walking and talking up above, on the rare occasion we would need to come downstairs--we make sure to ask permission. We run, bike, hike, and ski, and are happy to share all the fun things to do in Eau Claire. Plus, we can provide some possible running routes to see the city. Our neighborhood is quiet, and friendly. You can walk to some nice trails and ball fields, or just watch the weather come in on a stormy night in the open fields by the middle school. Yes, city bus stop 1 block away. 40 minute walk to the University and the Chippewa River trails. Convenient shopping/ restaurants within a mile. If you are bringing a dog, who likes to sleep on the bed, please bring a blanket for your pet to protect the bedding. (Or ask me for something) :)
