Just one mile from Seahouses and three miles from Bamburgh, our location puts you within easy reach of everything Northumberland has to offer. Explore miles of empty beaches on foot or by bike, wander along country lanes, and discover hidden coves at nearby Beadnell Bay. A scenic drive brings you to Lindisfarne (Holy Island), where history and natural beauty blend, and to Alnwick, famous for Alnwick Castle and the celebrated Alnwick Gardens. With more castles per square mile than any other county in England, Northumberland’s heritage coastline of Outstanding Natural Beauty invites you to explore ancient sites and coastal walks at every turn. Our luxury lodges feature contemporary interiors and captivating views, while our distinctive wigwams offer a memorable glamping experience under the Northumberland sky. For touring caravans and motorhomes, our well-maintained caravan park provides level pitches with easy access to on-site facilities and breathtaking coastal scenery. Other things to note Springhill Farm is located between Seahouses and Bamburgh and site only half a mile from the beach. Seahouses, 1 mile, is the closest village to us. Seahouses offers a range of local amenities including, a supermarket, small independent shops, bars, restaurants and take aways. Bamburgh and Beadnell also offer great local amenities, bars and restaurants. Our Biomass Heating System As part of our commitment to sustainability and responsible farming, all of our accommodation is heated using a biomass system powered by a Farm 2000 Big Bale Biomass Burner. This renewable energy source provides all the hot water and central heating for the cottages and other on-site buildings. The system is fuelled by linseed straw bales, grown and baled right here on our farm. By using a natural by-product of our crops, we avoid fossil fuels entirely, reduce carbon emissions, and make use of materials that would otherwise go to waste. This closed-loop process helps us to run a more eco-friendly and self-sufficient site. The Farm 2000 Biomass Burner is specifically designed for large bale combustion and is widely recognised in rural settings for its efficiency and low environmental impact. However, there may be occasions—particularly when bales have been affected by damp weather—where you might notice temporary smoke emissions from the chimney, especially during the morning and evening fuel cycles. Please rest assured this is a normal part of the system’s operation and is actively managed to minimise smoke and ensure clean, efficient burning. Without it, we wouldn't be able to provide the comfortable, reliable heating and hot water that our guests enjoy. We're proud to be using a sustainable solution that supports both the environment and our local farming economy.
