Woodlands Bungalow is a newly renovated retreat nestled into the woods near Long Lake and Traverse City. Tons of hiking and beaches nearby. Set up for winter fun - snow shoes, fat tire bikes, sauna, fire pit, fire place. The bungalow is stylish with all new furnishings. The property links up to thousands of acres of state land for hiking, snowshoeing and more. 8 min to Lake Ann, 10 min to Interlochen and Traverse City. The space This cozy 2 bedroom/1 bath (768 sqft), well equipped bungalow is your perfect home base for exploring the region. It recently went through a full renovation and boasts a spacious and stylish kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast; a dining table that also makes a great workspace; a comfy living room with a toasty fireplace and large TV; a brand new bathroom with a deep tub; and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twins. Both bedrooms have brand new mattresses, generous closets and offer peaceful views of the trees. All of the furnishings are new and have been selected for comfort and to maximize the functionality of the space. While you could spend all day enjoying the comforts and style of the indoor spaces, the beautiful piece of property that this bungalow sits on is really the star of the show. The five wooded acres are stunning in every season and the hiking, biking and exploration can continue onto the thousands of acres of nearby state land. We have a sauna and fire pit in the backyard. We also provide two pairs of snow shoes and two fat tire bikes. Bikes are for use at your own risk. There are also public horse trails right through the backyard. We are working on setting the property up so that you can bring your horse - stay tuned! In the summertime, head to the side yard and enjoy the fresh herb garden for your meals. Kids and pets will love running around in the backyard and you can’t beat a campfire in the woods. There is plenty of space to park your ATV, boat, and horse trailers (up to 70’ in length)! Woodlands Bungalow is perfect for small families, couples, friends and solo travelers. Inside and outside you’ll find plenty of places to recharge and reconnect. With high speed internet, washer and dryer, Weber gas grill, snow shoes, basketball hoop, plentiful supply of campfire wood, and inviting outdoor spaces you can make this your short- or long-term family or remote work getaway! Guest access Guests have private and exclusive use of the home and 5 acres of property. In the welcome book you will find information about how to access the other adjoining public land. We live nearby and love offering recommendations! Other things to note SECURITY DISCLOSURE and OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: We have two security cameras: One above the front door and one above the back door. Cameras are actively recording. We do not look at the footage from these cameras while we have guests unless we have an explicit reason to do so. The fire pit/campfire, trail use of all types, bikes, sauna and snowshoes are for “Use at Your Own Risk”. Motorized vehicles are NOT allowed on our private trail network. Refuse and recyclables must be stored in appropriate containers provided with tight-fitting lid. Campfires: Fires are at the guests "own risk", and; a. Must be contained within a fire ring or other comparable container b. Be located no less than 10 feet from any structure or any combustible material and be located away from overhanging tree branches. c. Be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times. d. Be fully extinguished prior to leaving the fire.
