WilderWoods Chalet is a place to slow down, recharge, drink a glass (or two) of wine, and let your mind disconnect and wander. A place designed for good food and good conversation. There's hiking in the summer, skiing and snowmobiling in the winter, local Jeep trails, mountain fresh air and dark, starry nights. DISCLAIMER: The chalet is not a luxury property. However, it is a great cabin/luxury CAMPING experience The space The A frame chalet is 100% off grid. The one room cabin has everything you need for a cozy stay without feeling cramped. A vintage “acorn fireplace” is the focal point upon entering the chalet. The “bedroom” side of the cabin features a 1920s hand hewn teak queen size bed with luxury hypoallergenic bedding. The “kitchen” side has cabinets for storage, a small fold out table and stools, a foot pump sink, bottled water, all the basic kitchenware, cookware, and utensils. Basic cooking staples such as salt, pepper, and cooking spray. The propane refrigerator is in the kitchen and we are awaiting good weather for a professional installation. The kitchen side houses the Jackery solar generator that can power lights, cell phones, laptops and all your basic luxury camping needs for a weekend. Yes it even charges the projector for movie night! The heat in the cabin is currently a propane Mr Heater and bio ethanol fuel canister for ambiance in the fireplace (until the weather allows contractors to schedule the fireplace pipe install) Guest access The whole chalet, outhouse and 24 acres are for your enjoyment. Enjoy a fire in the outdoor fire pit, grill dinner on the Weber grill, relax in the hammock. The only shared area is the access road and parking at the end of the main road. We ask that you are very respectful to the neighbors, their property and right of way passage space down the access road. Other things to note It’s important to remember this is a remote off grid property. If you don’t have a RUGGED 4 wheel drive vehicle you must park at the dead end and walk to the cabin. It is a mountain so the paths are steep, full of stones, and often quite muddy. Waterproof hiking or mud boots are recommended for muddy weather. Weather and timing dependant, a utility vehicle could be available to meet you and transport your luggage to the chalet but the trails are still being worked on and trails may be unreliable
